Witchy Moon*:シďžâ§
A little guide on using the moon in your favor while practicing witchcraft!
The moon is so important in cycles and everyday life so pay attention to what she says!
Trick or treat!
This was my Samhain/Halloween costume this year and I just loved wearing it, I had little miscellaneous crystals in one bag and candy in the other so people could choose and I told them the meaning of the crystals if they wanted đ
Harry Potter Elements
Gryffindor Earth Hufflepuff Air Slytherin Fire Ravenclaw Water
I had the most magical Samhain đŽ left out a treat and said a little hello to my first rats, Casper and Ernie, who passed away earlier this year (and took pieces of my heart with them) Then a fire outside and lots of candles, pomegranate juice, listening to Mazzy Star and gazing at the moon with my witchy pal đŽâ¨đđĽđđđ¤
Samhain tarot spread
On Samhain and Beltane, the veil between the mundane and the magical is lifted. Itâs the perfect time for divination. For some, Samhain also marks the end of the Wheel of the Year. Use this spread to find out what you need to be working on in the new year.
Shuffle your cards until you feel that they are ready to give you an answer. Find the Death card in your deck. The cards under it tell you what you will carry with you from the old year. One stands for the things you couldnât achieve. Two tells you why. The two cards on top of Death tell you something about the new year. Three is a new challenge that awaits you. Four is something that can help you grow.

⨠Chai spells â¨
Now that itâs getting colder I feel like itâs time to post about chai spells!Â
â¨Â Basic recipe for chai ⨠- ž mug of milk (or milk alternative) - Âź mug of water - Any tea that goes with milk (so no green or fruit teas) - Sugar or honey to taste
Heat up your milk, water and sweetener, once boiling whisk in your tea. If using black or milk oolong tea then do not exceed 45 seconds of stirring - it seems like a small amount of time but your chai will be bitter if you go over this time! Any tea other than black tea would be alright for a bit longer, but you shouldnât need much time at all!Â
Pour the chai through a strainer and serve! Drink this while hot for the best flavour (though it doesnât taste bad if it gets cold either)
_
For the following spells, use the milk, water and sweetner and then add the tea specified! Feel free to personalise your blends!
â¨Â Self love chai â¨Â - Black tea - Culinary dried rose petalsÂ
â¨Â Protection chai ⨠- Black tea - Cinnamon - Ginger - 2 peppercorns
â¨Â Banishing chai ⨠- Black tea - Basil leaves (chopped) - GingerÂ
â¨Â Sleepy time chai ⨠- Culinary lavender - Culinary dried rose petals
⨠Happiness chai ⨠- Black tea - Cinnamon - Orange peel
â¨Â Confidence chai ⨠- Black tea - Nutmeg - Cinnamon
â¨Â Divination chai ⨠- Milk oolong tea - PeppermintÂ
â¨Â Purity chai ⨠- Milk oolong tea - Coconut
â¨Â Lucky chai ⨠- Black tea - Cardamom - Cinnamon - Clove
_
Happy brewing everyone! Enjoy many cups of magical chai â¨
(Credit for our basic chai recipe goes to @sidewalk-crystal - thank you lovely!)

âž What is moonsalt? â˝
I knew moonsalt since I was a little kid, and I  had no idea that it was witchcraft. thing. Basically moonsalt = salt+ash+oil. Of course you can add wahtever you want to  this is just a base.
âž What i need to make it? â˝
â 1 or 2 teaspoons of salt (normal or sea salt, I prefer normal)
â piece of paper and a pen
â some oil (I use lavender oil)
Write a sigil on the paper. I mostly use protection or balance sigil. Then burn the paper (be carefull!)
Mix ash, salt and oil and keep it safe in a tiny bottle. You can carry your moonsalt in your bag for protection or keep it in your house for balance.Â
âž Why moonsalt? â˝
I was a kid when I called it like that, probably because of its colour.Â
âž Moonsalt will help you to keep balance in your life and its really simple to do even for baby witches â˝

Cleansing The Cards
Itâs natural for tarot cards to accumulate & harbor energy, since that is the primary force they operate through; it can âclogâ or ârestrainâ them, making them rather unproductive, though it doesnât damage them. They simply need to rest and be refreshed every now & then, just like the reader does.
METHODS ||
I suggest trying all of them out & sticking to the ones that work for you.
Shuffling Simply shuffle the deck with the intention of cleansing it, in whatever way thatâs most comfortable for you & for as long as you feel you need to.
Sorting Sort the cards â arrange them in order of the 22 Major Arcana and 4 suits of the 56 Minor Arcana. Allow the deck to ârestâ in proper sequence for a while. You could also simply sort the cards so that all are upright & none reversed.
Knocking Tap the deck against something, or tap it with your hands / another object.
Sunlight (This method is better for projective/masculine decks.) Place the deck in sunlight and leave it there until you feel that all the unwanted energy has been burned, faded, blinded, or driven out.
Moonlight (This method is better for receptive/feminine decks.) Place the deck in moonlight and leave it there until you feel that all the unwanted energy has been drained, coaxed, flushed, or guided out.
Salt Place the deck in a sealed, air-tight plastic bag and bury it in organic salt. Let the salt soak up the excess energy for a few days, or until you feel itâs done.
Crystals Place a crystal that corresponds to your intention upon the deck, or somewhere near it. You could also form a crystal grid around it.
Smoke Pass the deck through the smoke of incense or burning plants that correspond to your intention (most people would use dried sage or rosemary).
Pendulums Swing a pendulum of your choice clockwise in circular motions above or on the surface around the deck with your intention in mind until you feel that all the unwanted energy has been drawn out & expelled.
Sound Play any instrument with your intention in mind, or place the deck near a speaker and play music that corresponds to your intention.
*You can also cleanse each card individually rather than the whole deck at once, if you prefer. It takes longer but itâs more thorough &Â âintimateâ
MAINTENANCE ||
After cleansing your deck, store it in a special box/bag/cloth and/or with a quartz crystal to protect and generally upkeep its clean state.
Simple tip:Â cleanse your deck every time you use it. This is the easiest way to maintain a healthy deck, & the ritual of it can improve your general relationship with the cards as well as your connection with them in the moment.
Other good opportunities to cleanse your deck: - Itâs brand-new / inherited / borrowed / secondhand - Another person has come into contact with it (especially if it was without your permission â the deck will let you know if itâs been meddled with) - It has come into direct contact with a surface or object you didnât want it to (this mainly applies to the tarot readers who take extra precautions to preserve the energetic integrity of their deck â such as only laying the cards on a designated cloth/mat/board, not allowing others to touch them, etc) - It has come into direct contact with another deck - It hasnât been used for a long period of time - Itâs been accidentally scattered/messed up/physically damaged - Many different readings have been performed with it - An extensive/intense reading has been performed with it
Symptoms of a deck that needs to be cleansed: - An irregularly large amount of cards drawn in a reading are reversed - An irregularly large amount of cards are falling or popping out of the deck while you shuffle & handle it in general / the deck wonât stay together - The readings are becoming unclear, or youâre having an unnecessarily difficult time interpreting & discerning their meaning; youâre getting mixed messages, the cards arenât cohesive, and so on. If you feel like youâre not gaining anything out of the readings you do with a deck, you need to cleanse it. - You get the sense that you need to cleanse the deck. This could manifest in many different ways; perhaps you feel bored of the deck or distant from it, or perhaps its âpersonalityâ changes, or perhaps you simply feel off about it. Common âoffâ feelings are slowness or lethargy, disengagement, bitterness, exhaustion, a sense of a contrary or combative disposition, misplaced irony, dullness or hollowness, strain, stress, aggravation, confusion, or alienation, and may come from either you or the deck itself when you interact with it. - You canât bring yourself to focus on the readings you do with it; neither you nor the deck can maintain your concentration / awareness / full presence. - You consistently lose and misplace the deck or you canât find it when you want to use it â or other people have moved it, even just once. If you donât give it a spot and it tends to wander around your house, that may translate into your cards. Cleanse them and pick a permanent/regular place to keep them. - The deck loses its âmagicâ and begins to feel like plain paper to you - Using the deck consistently drains, frustrates, upsets, or annoys you / using it no longer brings you whatever beneficial quality it usually does.
Samhain will be here before you know it. Sometimes referred to as âThe Witches New Yearâ it is, not only a time thatâs believed to be when the veil between our world and the afterlife is at itâs thinnest, but also a time to reflect on the past year and look to the future.
Let this spread be a guide as you prepare yourself for the cold and dark months ahead.Â

Whether this be to help you figure out any doubts you have about a new career path or promotion, or if how you can better improve your current work ethic / attitude. Card 4 : Your Present
What are you still dealing with right now? This card will help you better understand where youâre at in this moment so that youâll better understand how to get to where you want to be.
Card 5 : Your Future Self
