i highkey forgot i was supposed to post today so all i will say is i am currently working on a replica of the belle doll that emi made and man. the amount of time i spend thinking about the belles is insane. discussion posts are also temporarily on hold while i work on college apps, i’ve officially procrastinated them for too long, so i’ll saving my re read for the inevitable panic that follows.

still under the weather so not much to say again, but i do have a question! have you ever wondered what aspect of your personality your shadow would attain? it seems from the series that they tend to pull from the lesser seen side of their dolls. louise models herself off lou’s sillier side, john takes shaun’s more abrasive and impulsive side, patrick very much follows ricky’s sweeter side, etc etc. it makes me wonder what mine would take from me.

new chapter this week: none!

i did forget to start my re read due to having a bout of the flu, so instead this week i’d like to talk about just how much this series means to me. the positive impact it’s had on my life and my perception of media.

shadows house is, far and away, the best series i think i’ve ever read. it’s kept me captivated for about 4-5 years now and still manages to pleasantly surprise me. even when i start to get wary or concerned about how a certain plotline is being handled, somato always manages to tie it up in a satisfying way, and often in directions i didn’t expect! i feel like a lot of the media i’ve consumed in recent years has fallen victim to writing or production that can be disappointing, poor, and infuriating all in one. shadows house is the one that has stayed consistently entertaining and well written, and i am extremely grateful to have something so strong as my favorite series. there’s always something comforting to fall back on. the amount of times i’ve re read it start to finish is no understatement, and i am constantly recommending it to anyone who will listen. it’s been a fantastic experience so far and i can’t wait to see where this story goes in the future. i hope it means something similar to all of you as well :]

new chapter this week: none

in honor of shadows house releasing a new chapter (almost) every wednesday, i’ll be posting a weekly sparkly christopher! i also thought it might be fun to do an analysis of shadows house chapters with each post so they don’t get boring! i’m doing a re-read right now, meaning i’ll start from the top grouping my analyses by arcs. once we’re closer to the new chapters i’ll start separating it out individually until we’re all caught up. like a book club hosted by your favorite haunter of the narrative :]

i’ll start my analysis proper next week, in the meantime don’t forget to be yourself!
