AKOTSK AU (maybe modern?) where everyone lives (part 2 of the grandad Maekar and Baelor post)

Daeron not being surprised at most anyone’s milestones, he knew Valaerion was expecting before even Valarr did.

(Need) Daeron and Maekar holding that baby for the first time and being shocked to silence because they are basically seeing their baby (brother) all over again.

Dyanna is immediately besotted. Has matching outfits for almost every occasion. Jena has matching sunglasses she wears all the time

Each grandchild has their wardrobe picked out for their whole lives

Daeron offers to go fishing with Aerion and his toddler, and for once, is shocked. Aerion agrees. Even lets Egg come along. Becomes a tradition.

He is also surprised one other time when he goes to see the new Valaerion baby, who apparently has red hair. Jena and Matarys are delighted.

Maekar asks Daeron every time if he’s getting a granddaughter for his sanity

Baelor doesn’t care if he gets a grandson or granddaughter and doesn’t ask. He gets what he gets

Maekar will close the door if one of his children shows up without grandkids only to open it (read: reluctantly) when Dyanna tells him to be nice

Maekar has let his grandchildren do his makeup, which Egg and Daeron stumbled into. They took photos for blackmail but got roped into their makeup being done

This has also happened to Baelor several times, he even gets a crown and invitation to a tea party.

Every one of their children (Valaerion) loves Duncan and he does tea parties and makeup with minimal complaints, he’s a giant teddy bear

Tanselle does their makeup when tagging along with Duncan and it looks great

One of the Valaerion children saw Egg and excitedly exclaimed “AANG” which meant he was obligated to be Aang for Halloween.

Thinking about Baelor and Maekar becoming grandparents to Valaerion children (infested by Baelor being terrified inwardly for his son and immediately checking on his baby before his grandbaby)

Intrusive thoughts about a similar AU where those children pass alongside Valarr from the Great Spring Sickness

Part 4, plus some extra headcanons/ideas

Benjicot and Oscar frequently babysit for Aeron and Davos

Aeron goes on a work trip when their daughter is an infant and he is about ready to buy a private jet to go home

(Or alternatively Aeron has to go on some knightly thing and literally is about two seconds away from internally crashing out)

Benjicot has Muppet ringtones for each Tully family member and forgets to change it before dinner with Oscar’s family

Oscar has his head in his hands

Benjicot nicknames his and Oscars child Salmon bc they’ve got red hair (Tully genes) and bc he thought it was funny it wasn’t a trout

Salmon (Trout) is a nickname of Bull Trout so he was wrong

Davos once hid so well in hide and seek that they had to announce he had won before he left his spot

Davos hums while he cooks which he does often

Benjicot didn’t inherit an ability to cook.

Elmo owns/owned Sesame Street puppets that are most likely haunted if you ask anyone

If Aeron was trying to learn about birds I can guarantee Davos would say a name of a bird that is honestly just insane but 100% real and Aeron would not believe a word he says or just completely misunderstands

Hello again, I’d like to push the athletic Aeron agenda

Aeron being athletic; he seems more mild mannered (at least sometimes), people just are unused to him showing a lot of strength so it’s a surprise when he just picks Davos up like it’s nothing.

They compete against and exercise together, Aeron loves carrying Davos around (when he’s allowed to, of course, Davos pretends to be annoyed).

Also side note Aeron wearing sports hoodies and despite it not being his favorite team Davos will steal his hoodies.

Like both of them being athletic is what I’m saying

Aeron has been waiting to ask Davos out

Knew his challenge was going to be hard, that’s why he did it

Actually prays every night he won’t improve

His teammates have heard it ALL, but they have a hard choice

They don’t want him to improve but Aeron will probs kill them if Davos gets injured

So they just hope Davos doesn’t improve when instructed properly

… or actually asks him out bc this is kinda sad

Aeron thinks about it afterwards and is less and less confident about basically challenging Davos

Aka he’s competitive

Aeron privately mopes when hearing hears about about any improvement

Bonus if Davos does actually manage to improve and Aeron is literally crushed

Davos didn’t really mean to even so he manages to catch Aeron

“You could’ve just asked me out, you know,” “I’ll pick you up Saturday at 7,” “how did you know if I was going to say yes?”

Aeron rushes to apologize, and Davos sees that. “Better be ready at 7, Bracken.”

Since Davron Anniversary week is coming up, here’s some ideas/prompts or whatever if you’re stuck!

(Part 2) might edit for formatting.

Note: you don’t even need to ask for these ideas please take them

Prompts

1). And Davos and Aeron have a show flip houses or building things (Davos seems like he calculates cost if they are working together, and architect while Aeron does some of the physical work).

2). Davos is a Bracken and Aeron is a Blackwood. Neither of them really fits into their house.

3). Amos, after a lot of convincing from Aeron, allows Davos to come on a hunting trip. Davos turns out to be an excellent hunter, he has to begrudgingly admit. Amos will not let him know he tolerates the Blackwood, even if he managed to kill the most animals of the three of them.

4). Marriage proposal. Either way I can’t imagine the debate of ‘do I ask for permission or ask for forgiveness’ when it comes to the families and marriage.

Goodness, and the wedding planning that would have to happen would be enough to give anyone nightmares. Everything would be a fight between the families. Every. Single. Detail.

Don’t even start with the argument of what the last names will be.

For colors, they can’t even agree on red because the other house suggested it. Red. Honestly, nothing is out of the realm of possibility besides them getting along. They may actually see the seven heaven/hells and Old Gods before they manage to marry under them, alive.

So they either somehow spend more time trying to guilt trip family to accept it

Or

They just decide to wake a Septon up at an ungodly hour and they go to the Weirwood tree looking like they just rolled out of bed

OR

They literally just decide they’re basically married anyway and do an unofficial ceremony

5). Aeron has been gathering courage to ask out Davos for years; he’s wickedly smart, attractive, and an animal lover, which is precisely why Aeron joins the Ornithology club with Davos being President.

In a club with several other Blackwoods.

Plus other several people who are vying for Davos’ attention.

The absolute cherry on top is he knows very little about birds. Oh well.

6). I’m pushing the Davos having a specific interest in Ornithology agenda and the vet.

I can’t decide between some of these so here

A). Aeron and Davos meet in vet school. Davos isn’t as much a people person and goes into Microbiology, and Aeron as much as he loathes to admit it, he’d be an asset in future a practice.

B). Davos does Ornithology research, Aeron is working with horses at a nearby site, also research.

C). Davos is a finance major who helps with the veterinary office Aeron works for

D). Davos is an architect who is working on constructing the vet office

E). Aeron and Davos work for the same vet clinic but have different focuses. Aeron is larger mammals, and Davos focuses on bats and birds for the most part.

F). One of them is a vet. It’s hard to find someone in the area who actually is qualified to look at their pet, so the other doesn’t have much of a choice.

we're thinking of organizing a davron week for their one year anniversary on 30 june (this being the last day of the week). everyone will be able to participate with fanart, gifs, edits, moodboards, fanfics and everything creative.

we've thought of these themes so far

you're welcome to suggest themes in the comments for the following week (until 30 march) but when suggesting themes, please keep in mind this is a ship with one scene and themes have to be general enough for multiple people to be able to participate through the different ways mentioned above

Somehow I ended up in the Davron fandom and I’ve risen because these will haunt me if I don’t share

Aeron trying to impress Davos and being smitten inspires me please take these ideas

1). Aeron is the singer of a band, The Stallions, Davos plays guitar for a rival band, the Ravens. Aeron and Davos both attend the other’s shows, claiming they’re scoping out the competition if anyone asks. Aeron notices The Ravens playing more love songs, good love songs. He finds out Davos is also the writer and starts to wonder who exactly caught the eye of his wild rival.

1A). Davos writes songs and is a guitarist for the band Aeron sings for. Davos would very much appreciate Aeron realizing he’s writing these (sappy) songs for him.

2). Davos and Aeron met in a hospital, Aeron is a CNA and Davos is a paramedic. Davos ends up in the hospital a lot, nature of the job; it usually isn’t something that would have Aeron super worried. He is now.

3). Davos and Aeron are both medieval reenactors. They aren’t enemies, but they’re really great at playing them.

4). Amos could tell how scared they were when they told him about their relationship. He becomes Davos’ father figure. Reluctantly.

5). Amos and Willem decide to try a truce for the sake of Aeron and Davos for a family reunion. It’s chaos.

5A). Blackwood and Brackens may be in a peaceful period, but they still argue over who gets to babysit. Adventures of Brackens and Blackwoods, Willem and Amos, babysitting.

6). Aeron competing in a tourney to get Davos’s attention.
