This is going to be weird,

but I see a great demonstration of how we should come into the presence of God... in my cat. My cat is a lap cat by definition. Ever since she was a kitten, she's followed me around the house and jumped up into my lap at every opportunity. Most of the time, she sleeps next to me, on my legs, or at the very least, in the same room. She always wants to be where I am. She seeks me out, and finds me, and then she jumps into my lap. No hesitation. No fear. See where I'm going here? If we could remember how much God loves us, and how great a work Christ has done for us to make us able to come boldly to our Father's gracious throne, we would do the same as my cat. We would seek Him out at every opportunity, and we would run to Him, and make ourselves comfortable at His feet. We are not pets. We are His children! And not marginalized step-children, either. He sees us as His very own. So how much more can we find our Daddy sitting, come into His room, and sit with Him? Will He turn us away? Will He send us away empty? The more we realize how close we CAN be to God, I believe the more we will want to experience that closeness for ourselves.
