Going to school as someone who is genderqueer, really freakin’ sucks, but, I survived. To anyone who feels left out or alone: you are capable of so much - more than you think. You will make it through this chapter. Stay strong.

A quick introduction

Hi humans!

I’m Marne’ but you can call me Spec, whichever is fine. My pronouns are they/them and i’m excited to share my comics and to reach fellow queers on Tumblr.

I am a Master’s student studying Digital Culture and Media and this comic series will form part of my dissertation. I will be sharing more details on my research and ways you can get involved if you’d like to. Spec On The Spectrum is my way to explore my gender identity. I have recently discovered that I feel happiest outside of the gender binary, in other words, I am Nonbinary - Genderfluid to be more specific.
