Tumblr removed the way I’d check the date something was posted, so now I’m lookin’ at this and going “…was this five months ago, or five years?”

So far, I’ve found a way for it to tell me “April 30th, 10:51 PM,” but your guess of the year is as good as mine.

We are officially on week 2 of the Sakuraoi Art Book and Pin campaign. Currently we’re just a little over 1/3rd of the way to our goal, so please continue to spread the word and consider pledging if you have not already. You can find the Kickstarter here.

See this is something that I struggle with because on the one hand I see all the "hahaha fuck people if they don't like it I embrace my love for these characters and write fics/make fanart/daydream and it's okay because look at all these people who do the same and feel the same and SUCK IT" but on the other hand I'm in this weird realm of I'm not a young'n anymore so it must be weird of me to do the aforementioned activities and I should keep it to myself.

It also doesn't help that while I know fan groups exist I'm such a baby nub to the universe that I'm terrified to look into/reach out/join in because "yuck you don't even know this nuance so how dare you think you can even stand behind these characters?"

Or that this is a lone blog with like no posts of relevance so who's even reading this anyway.

Ahh well.

Not that I have anything of art to note, just putting that out in the universe. Sitting up worried because my husband got super-stressed about it tonight and I know when he has a lot going on in his head he gets quiet, so I shouldn’t be too worried. But I am, because I start thinking maybe I’m not being as serious as I should about it, maybe I’m causing him stress on top of it all. But he does get quiet when he has a lot going on in his head, so maybe I should just listen to that voice, not the other one that’s constantly whispering “maybe, maybe”,

Allllrighty, then...

So my Wacom tablet pen got some pet ear-cleaning fluid on it (long story involving an untidy desk and a poor choice... you know I was always good about putting the pen in its cradle, but that one damn time I don’t... the fluid had leaked out of the bottle and seeped around/into the pen).

And now it doesn’t work. Well, the tip doesn’t (the part I need to draw with, fun!)

Replacing it I can afford, but that’s still a chunk that I wasn’t thinking I’d have to spend (tried everything I could to fix the pen... wiped it off with a damp paper towel, gently scraped the nib channel with a pin, etc. No avail.)

I would be open to taking some cheap pencil sketches to offset the costs, say about $5 a pop? Nothing fancy (or NSFW, sorry folks, I’m just not that comfortable with the subject matter). If you’re familiar with my work, cool! If not, may I point you to a gallery?

I might be brave and post some things I've been doodling on later. The fact is I've fallen pretty far away from anyone and anything and while I know I can't be counted on to be any good, I'm starting to feel like I used to again back when I was 20 and I'm trying my damnedest to not let that go. It's literally been a fight with myself for months and the positive side is starting to edge ahead.
