Kanan had been keeping it together. Oh he’d been trying to hard. To appear strong in front of everyone, to show he was still the Jedi they needed him to be. Especially now.

However...those words, they snapped something in side him and he finally crumpled to his knees. His body shaking with tears that couldn’t come out.

“How....how can anyone believe that?” His voice was broken. “I failed.”

Caleb nodded again. No...it didn’t make him feel any better. Anger and pain...oh he had a lot of that. He didn’t have a way to deal with it. Maybe he could learn to control it.

Could he really leave the Jedi behind? It’s what he was...everything in him was a Jedi. “I...I will, with your guidance, I know I can.” He said. “I wont fail you Master, not this time.” He told him. “I will be the pad-apprentice you always want me to be.”
