The more that I keep breathing without looking for a reason, the more that I am glad to be alive.
And I don’t know why.
Revolutionaries
You Won’t released their sophomore album Revolutionaries this morning. It is too soon for me to say much about it, but I loved it on my first listen through. Some of my favorite tracks included “Ya Ya Ya” which was released as a single about a month ago, “Trampoline” “1-4-5″ “Douchey” and the deeply touching namesake of the album, “Revolutionaries”. Please give it a listen and feel free to tell me some of your thoughts. I’ll be writing a review within the next week probably.
but now I realize I'd give anything I have to walk a day in my old shoes, wondering what my first smoke would be like, my first fuck or next fuck up or the next band that would change my life
Lucy Rose live on KEXP in 2013 performing “Shiver” “Middle Of The Bed” “Bikes” and “Be Alright” off of Like I Used To.
Wait, we are not fine. Wait, you are not mine.

Indie Folk
Her first album Like I Used To was somber, primarily featuring Lucy’s voice and an acoustic guitar. Her more recent Work It Out is lighter, more dynamically instrumented, and carries some indie pop tones.
The Lumineers released this song on Feb 5 as a single leading up to their new album, Cleopatra.
Michigan’s in the rear-view now. // Keep your hands where I could see em.
Michigan seems like a dream to me now.
It took me four days to hitchhike from Saginaw.
I’ve come to look for America.
I’m posting the song next, but this video is pretty cool. Check it out.
Not really a moving song, but it’s definitely how I’m feeling today.
It’s not where I was going, all these 1600 miles.
Went to see what’s mine in the streets of the fading lines.
