6.6.20: veggie box update! I subscribed to @ugly_fruits_suisse last week, got my first fortnightly box last Friday. So far the red lettuce has gone into a leafy salad (🙀I never make leaf salad!), along with half the radishes. One leek and some celery went into a soup of leftovers; the other leek, with half the zucchini, into lemon and yoghurt pasta sauce. Broke out the green beans tonight (with antipodean lamb! I broke my ‘local and/or organic’ resolution for that) for stir-fry. All the celery/leek ends and all the rocket (blech, rocket) went into overnight slowcooker stock.
I’ve eaten almost all the fruit, too! Surprised how quickly I got through it - I suspect it wouldn’t go so fast were I not working from home. Bought some less-local items today; hopefully the lettuce is still edible and plays nice in a sweet potato salad.
Not pictured: me flinging stock everywhere attempting to transfer it from the tub I’d strained it into to the funnel-and-bottle for storage. https://instagr.am/p/CBGefqrjZFz/
3.6.20 good job, Geneva https://instagr.am/p/CA-YZNeDToS/
3.6.20 The things we are, and are not, prepared to teach our children. In the free puff-piece newspaper today, Swiss children stand in marked social distancing boxes, rehearsing a song about Coronavirus. And in my work reading today, flying penis lady serves as just one part of a complex system of informal education in the medieval community. I’m enjoying the juxtaposition.

1.6.20, Bern: it’s basically toytown out here, especially in summer. ( Prisma filter for effect) https://instagr.am/p/CA5iHl0DMci/

1.6.20, Bern, not in the Rosengarten this time: some extremely good open roses here.
30.5.20, highlyeclectic insta: I have an outdoor table now! It’s improved my wfh routines and my mealtimes significantly.
Still plodding through Summer @meanjinquarterly_ . Given my spring edition went AWOL in the mail I figure that’s allowed. One book HAS broken through my pandemic brain: The Mercies. I’ve also finished some things thanks to work and zoom playreadings.

1.6.20, Bern: rather pretty along the river in summer...
Me: I will have a tasteful bedroom in blue-grey-green. Also me: with a multicoloured stripey blanket! https://instagr.am/p/CAyGUguDWHI/
1.6.20, Bern Rosengarten: the whorls on this rose!
Ugh
Tumblr update seems to have broken xkit (as in, the add-on isn’t showing at all). I’ve been getting fed up with tumblr of late anyway. I’ll be letting my queue run out and then likely posting exclusively from dreamwidth.
28.5.20 bought myself a compression vest for anxiety (bonus: reducing button-down-shirt gape)! Haven’t worn it properly yet but initial tests suggest maximum snug is good.
I also ordered a ‘binding sports bra’, which turned out to be WAY more binding than expected plus I’d misjudged my size. It’s not expensive enough to be worth returning, and it would make a good half-binder for someone smaller than me. Anyone know of a trans or lgbt charity in Switzerland that has a binder donation bin? Or can anyone tell me the words for binder in French or German so I can investigate myself? https://instagr.am/p/CAvgcgdjGXh/
