if there’s something bernardo liked to do when going through composers block was walk around for a couple of hours and find what nature sounded like. it was easy in madrid, but here in emporia, pretty much all he heard was people’s conversations, which made him giggle all to often as well. “ah, come on bernie, focus.” he told himself as his head shook to look down at his music sheet.
dash was pretty focused on his anatomy homework . ( and by focused , i mean totally looking for a distraction ) he had settled himself and his textbook outside of a coffee shop in town in hopes of completing at least ONE of his weekly assignments . however , all he had was ' dash parr ' written in big letters at the top of the page . the boy couldn’t help but overhear someone talking to themselves , causing a grin to quirk up the corner of his lips . dash turned around in his chair , leaning against the frame of it to gaze at the other . " you talkin' to yourself , buddy ? "
the cool breeze on dash’s face as he sprinted around the track felt nice and calming on his heated skin . the boy LOVED to run , loved it more than most things . he liked the burn in his thighs and calves , the adrenaline , the burn in his cheeks , and beating his own time . as he completed his final lap , dash was almost positive that that attempt was faster than the last . it had to be ! " how was that ? faster than last time ? it felt faster . " a broad grin took place on dash’s face as he spoke quickly , even though his breathing was still in the form of huffs and puffs . dash’s eyebrow cocked as he tried to get a GLANCE at the timer in the other’s hand , gulping down some water while he was at it .
ariana had a bit of a personal space issue, meaning she didn’t have any. so she bounded up to this person, her new find in hand. “hey! hi! look at this thingy,” she told them, holding out her hand to show the incredibly weathered necklace she had found while combing the beach at an early hour this morning. “do you think i could get this cleaned, or is it not salvageable?”
dash’s quick reflexes were the only thing that saved him from ariana completely knocking him off of his feet . his attention was immediately drawn to the BUSTED looking necklace that was hanging from her fingers . his dark brows immediately furrowed , taking a moment to examine the thing . “ you know , ari ... i don’t know about this one . i’m not as checked out in the doo-hickey department as you are . but this ... necklace ?? looks pretty rough to me . ” however , he shrugged just a moment after and glanced back up at the girl . “ but nobody knows thingies like you do , ariana . i’ve seen you fix up garbage into somethin’ respectable . ”

ACCENT : dash has a pretty typical american accent . after all , he grew up in seattle . i mean , there’s a couple words here and there that take on a seattle twist . for example , words like ‘ tag ’ or ‘ bag ’ tend to slur together a little and sound more like ‘ teg ’ or ‘ beg ’ . but it’s nothing too wild .
VERBAL TICKS : dash is a pretty speedy talker . ( watch out jojo siwa .. dash is coming 4 ur brand ) his mouth tends to move faster than his brain , causing him to stutter through words at times while his brain buffers , mispronounce words here and there , or even start talking in the middle of a thought . dash can be incoherent at times , but please bear with him .
LANGUAGE : dash speaks english fluently and speaks a good bit of korean . he struggles with reading and writing in both languages , unfortunately .
ARTICULATION : the only times dash is articulate is when he’s repeating dumb ‘ smart sounding ’ shit that he has heard on tv . he still talks like a fourteen year old boy and regularly says yeet in sentences and even when emailing professors .
EDUCATION : most certainly does not have a big vocabulary . thinks using the word ‘ photosynthesis ’ makes him sound smart even though he uses it incorrectly .

FACE : a pretty smiley guy . whether it’s a genuine toothy grin , a cocky smirk , or a beaming grin of success after a game . however , the look of mischief in his eye is so easily recognizable by anyone who comes into contact with him . the boy is known for his pranks and honestly ? i’m not sure how anyone can miss the sparkle in his dark eyes the moment he comes up with his next prank .
HANDS : when in class, dash can always be seen tapping his fingers , playing with a bracelet on his wrist , twirling his hair , etc . he just has so much pent up energy , just sitting around anywhere can drive him up the wall . dash’s fingers and palms are also covered in blisters and rough spots due to years of sports . his long , spindly fingers are not soft by any means .
LEGS/FEET : speedy boi . dash runs track and is known for being one of the fastest guys on the team . his legs are in great shape , long af , and always ready to carry him wherever he wants to go .
EMOTIONAL OUTBURSTS : the only time you’ll really see any ‘ outbursts ’ from dash is if he loses something . the man is competitive like no other and hates losing with a burning passion . in which case , he just tends to get >:( and punch stuff once nobody’s around .
HABITS : if he’s left without anything to do , he just starts working out using any nearby items . he’ll just drop to the floor and start doing pushups , lifting people’s backpacks , stretching in place , etc . the world is his gym . also , claps when he laughs or is is excited or honestly whenever . he just claps . a lot . for no good reason .
POSTURE : stands like he’s overcompensating . hands on hips , shoulders back , chest out . it’s annoying and i can and will clown him for doing such .
health .
DIET : this man has no Clue how to cook . but he tries to be healthy , so if you see him just randomly munching on a carrot or some lettuce or like ... just the most basic of healthy foods ... mind your own business . but listen the man has a soft spot in his heart for anything chocolate . drinks chocolate milk every morning to wake up .
SLEEP : lmao getting this man to sleep is impossible . he will stay up till the late hours of the night playing video games or even trying to catch up on school work . ( rare , but a possibility ) but strangely , even if he’s running on two hours of sleep , he acts like he’s just downed multiple energy drinks at all times .
MEDICINAL DRUGS : definitely should be taking his adhd medicine . but what’s the fun in that ?
NARCOTICS : occasionally will hit a juul because he is dumb as fuck and likes to look cool on people’s snapchat stories . but does not fuck with drugs in the slightest . anything in his pee tests could get him kicked off the team .
