STARTER CALL
lena.
â i know this WILL HURT YOUR FRAGILE MASCULINITY since youâre a big macho that likes to pretend football is all you watch on tv. but i got you these. â from behind her back, she shows jack a bouquet of gardenias with a smile on her face. â i also know weâre not an item because I HATE YOU AND YOU HATE ME, but itâs been six months since we first started⌠hooking up. â and though lena wonât admit it, their relationship has grown committed, they spend all their free time together, she stays over at his doorm at least once a week, sheâs started to introduce him as her partner whenever they go together to a luthorâs party. but itâs whatever. ITâS CASUAL. â so take them and put them in water, jackie. â  @spheericals â¤âd.
And here he thought he was making a mistake in buying Lena something, he genuinely believed she wouldnât even mark the date on her calendar, and yet. The youngest of the Luthors never fails to surprise him, even after their six months together (though they are not really together... Itâs complicated). â I know that this will shatter my reputation as a big macho but I really like flowers. â He smiles, takes the flowers and brings them to his nose to inhale, itâs a weird mixture of freshness and pine, something utterly beautiful. â I will put them in water, but in a minute, â Jack leaves the bouquet on top of pool table carefully and stands up to go to the kitchen (not before raising his index finger to tell Lena to wait on the couch). There on the fridge lays a giant box in the shape of a heart full of chocolates, Lena once told him while drunk she liked trouffles and he made an effort to find the best ones in all of California. â This might be cheesy, but... Happy six month non-versary, babe. â He says, walking back to the living room and showing the box to Lena.
lena.
she shows no emotion nor a change in her features when jack confirms her what SHE FEARED THE MOST, that he doesnât believe her anymore. and again, she cannot blame him for knowing that sheâs lying about wanting to be with him and him only. itâs a sad thought, that even after realizing lena wants him solidly because heâs a warm body, a way to trick her mind into BELIEVING SHEâS NOT LONELY, he still wants to give them, their broken and unhelathy relationship a shot. lena should say no, should tell him that itâs not going to work, stop being a SCARED CHILD and take for once some responsibility for her actions    tell him to stop playing around because heâll only get hurt if he decides to stay. but sheâs weak. â if you want me to stop seeing kara so much so youâll believe me, i can do it. â can she ?? can she walk away from the only good thing in her life ?? the answer is no, but SACRIFICES ARE TO BE MADE. â weâll work it out, jackie. i promise we will. â lena kisses him. his lips are slightly chapped and his beard doesnât feel good anymore itching against her chin but sheâll endure it. sheâll trade bits and pieces of herself for EPHEMERAL HAPPINESS.
Jack knows that she wonât stop seeing Kara, he knows her too damn well to know when sheâs enamoured with someone. How? An outsider would ask, and Jack would simply reply with: There was a time in which she looked at me like that too. A long time ago, when he was a jerk and she was too. When he was intense and she was too, when their constant fights and screaming were endearing and a source for burning passion. That flame died the week before she moved to National City, the same day he had said awful things to her and she had thrown a microscope at his head. That same died they had condemned their relationship. There was no way it was going to rise from the ashes. Heâs stupid to try. But whatever, right? â I want you to promise me, that you will really try. â He says when they break away from their kiss. â That Kara wonât come between us. Promise me that, Lena. Tell me that you love me and I will forget any of this ever happened. â Even if itâs a lie, even if he knows if she says it sheâll be lying itâll make him feel better about himself, about being so selfish for not wanting anyone else to have her. â Tell me. â
okay but i feel like there need to be more make-out sessions in rp? like it seems like itâs either smut smut or kissing, but come on guys. make outs. like just super slow, sensual, making out with wandering hands and fingers getting lost in hair and slowly grinding in someones lap. sleepy make outs where theyâre still tired from the night before, steamy make outs in locker rooms or in dark corners. make outs that lead to smutty things or make outs that donât. exploratory make outs or slow make outs or frantic make outs just COME ON YOU GUYS WHY IS THERE NOT MORE MAKING OUTÂ
physically, yes, i could fight a bird. but emotionally? imagine the toll
kara.
Kara picks up on his body language almost immediately. He doesnât say it with his words, or in his tone, but thereâs something just a littleâŚoff with Jack who stands before her. And sheâs not particularly eager to find out what exactly it is that seems to be throwing him off. Lifting a hand to her glasses, she pushes them up the bridge of her nose and lightly shakes her head, very small smile pulling at the corners of her lips. âUh⌠No. No, itâs okay. Just- tell her I dropped by, yeah? Oh, and to call me, please? I just need her advice on something. Thatâs all. But it was nice seeing you again Jack?â
Tell her I dropped by, Kara says and he nods but Jack is most certainly not gonna tell Lena about this small encounter because then sheâll ask him why he didnât tell Kara to come inside and wait and he doesnât want to have that fight again. â Sure, donât worry about it. â The girl needs advice and she seems genuinely concerned and heâs gonna hate himself for this because ONE itâs not nice to see Kara ever when itâs related to his girlfriend and TWO itâs even worse to know Lena would feel horrible if she ever found out he was mean towards the bubbly reporter. â Hey uh... You wanna come in for a lilâ bit? â Please say no, please say no, please say no...
Well, I was living in London basically. Iâve never been over state sides so I had an audition for 24 which was shooting in the UK and then I walked out of there and I got a phone call from my agent. They were like, âOh, have you heard about iZombie?â and I was aware of the comic. So I literally spent the weekend working on the small chunk of script that they gave me. I was put on tape in London on Monday then I got some notes from Rob Thomas. Went again on tape on Wednesday and Friday they cast me in one of the lead roles and I was flying out to Vancouver literally a week or two after.
lena.
â thatâs a great idea, jackie !! â her voice drips with sarcasm as she sits down on his lap, ignoring the fact that he seems to be focused on a soccer match. SHEâS MORE IMPORTANT. â iâll call them and say, hey mom !! i know you asked me to bring someone to dadâs birthday party and i decided to invite the guy iâm fucking. we donât really get along unless weâre on bed together and heâs seven years older than me. â lena smiles too wide for it to be a believable thing, the stress is killing her. â see this bruise over here, mom ?? HE CHOKED ME TOO HARD while i was riding his dick. â   @spheericals
â Do we really have to discuss this while El Real Madrid is playing? We were together all morning but you were silent then, you decide to start bickering right when Iâm in the middle of something important. â He rolls his eyes in annoyance but both his arms sneak around Lenaâs slim waist to pull her close. The game is boring anyway. â It was a suggestion. And if you ask me, if my daughter showed up to my birthday party with a handsome and intelligent young man that fucks her good, I wouldnât care about age... Or about the bruises on her neck. â Jack diverts his gaze from the television to Lenaâs neck and quirks an eyebrow, indeed, the red bruises (that are now turning purple) are quite visible. â Not my fault you have such pale skin. â
kara.
Sheâs eager to just chill and have a relaxing night with her best friend. The day had been stressful, and after everything with Alex, Kara wanted nothing more than to eat pizza and watch crappy movies on Netflix. And so, opening the door, she planted a smile upon her face before meeting the face of Jack Spheer. With a small raise of her brow, she nodded before looking over his shoulder. âOh,â a fix of her glasses, âdo you know how long sheâll be? I kind of needed a good pick me up.â
Why does she have to be here all the time? He gets it, Kara is Lenaâs only friend, sheâs grown attached to her and viceversa but Jesus, heâd like one day, only one, in which heâd be free from hearing: Kara did this, Kara did that. Kara could save the entire galaxy for all he cared, all he asks is for some peace and quiet, a day in which he can look forward to a dinner with his girlfriend without being interrupted. â I called her about half hour ago, she said she was wrapping up. So maybe, another ten minutes? â Jack hopes Lena doesnât appear right now, because if she does and she sees Kara sheâll disregard their plans and include Kara and he doesnât want that. â Do you want me to tell her something? I doubt you wanna wait... âÂ
lena.
she gets the expected reaction and canât help the warm feeling that takes over her body at hearing him, someone whoâs usually so over his head and barely stuttering, TURNING INTO A MESS because she made a pass onto him. not that she actually means it, jackâs attractive ( sheâll never admit it to him, if heâs insufferable now, heâll be worst if he ever finds out ) but heâs much older and quite frankly, untouchable. SHEâS PLAYING WITH FIRE⌠and she likes it. â what is it, jackie ?? â he even said she could use the stupid nickame, which is great !! â catâs got your tongue ?? the idea of ME ON MY KNEES isnât good enough for the prodigy ?? iâve been told iâm very good with my mouth. â
He mustâve passed out and this is a dream because thereâs no way in hell that Lena Luthor, sorority girl, genius and overall a princess around campus is flirting with him (flirting wouldnât even describe the way sheâs coming onto him, sheâs being⌠Bold. Way too bold). â Oh my god, did you⌠I just brought you your first glass of vodka, you havenât even drank it. â Which means sheâs one hundred percent sober and this is not drunk talk. Jack doesnât know if thatâs better or worse. â IâŚâ He never loses his words but this is⌠This is straight out of a porn movie. Is he being punkâd, where are the cameras?! â I donât doubt youâd look great on your knees but, letâs not⌠I donât want to⌠No. â
random gifs of Kara being Flawlessâ˘
lena.
â youâre acting like a dickhead. â he has a reason to, heâs ENTITLED TO BE UPSET and to feel hurt, heâs in all his right to SCREAM AT LENA and confront her on the fact that indeed, she has feelings for someone else and hasnât been honest at all with her so called boyfriend    sheâs NOT A GOOD PERSON. sheâs come to understand that she really is not, she prides herself to be different, to be good, but she does things like this in which she USES ANOTHER HUMAN BEING to have attention, sporadic kisses, a warm body to hold onto because deep down, she knows kara doesnât feel the same. â calm down for a minute and listen to me, â sheâs a good liar. a bad person, but an incredible liar and will use that in her favor. â i am close to kara, yes. she was my first friend when i arrived here, the first person to believe in me. but look at me, â she stands up from the couch and goes over to him, takes his face between her hands and forces him to look into her eyes. â I DONâT LIKE HER IN THAT WAY, jackie. â the words feel raw and dry in her mouth but if this is what he wants to hear, what will keep her by her side then itâs fine. maybe if she repeats it enough times, sheâll believe it too. â i like you. AND YOU ONLY. â
When Lena stands up he freezes on the spot, itâs ridiculous but under her gaze he always weakens, a minute ago he was ready to walk away from her, from her lies and the life they obviously cannot live together for theyâre not the perfect match and most importantly she doesnât love him in that way, how can two people promise each other adoration when one of them clearly has someone else in mind at all times? For Jack not only does it seem insane, but it will result in wrecking them both as years go by. Heâs been hurt enough, Lena has too. This relationship wonât be another factor for them to be miserable, he wonât allow it--but sheâs looking straight into his eyes and begging him to stay, denying her feelings for Kara and although for someone else it might be believable he knows her too well and sheâs lying. He knows it and even so feels his heart beat excitedly. â Lena, you canât expect me to believe that, â He whispers, hands sneaking around Lenaâs waist to pull her close. Sheâs always been soft to touch. â I want to... I really wanna be with you. But itâs... Infurating to see you with her. â Heâs got rage bottled up, Kara doesnât deserve him to be angry at her, she probably doesnât know of Lenaâs feelings and yet... He blames her somehow. Ha, he was saying Lena was being irrational! He is too. â If you really want to make this work... Kara needs to be second. Sheâs your friend, not your priority. â
The doorbell rings and Jack canât help but frown, Lena never forgets her keys and she didnât say anything about visitors, he leaves the magazine heâs reading on the table and walks lazily to open the door only to find Kara Danvers--the girl of his nightmares--standing there with a cardigan and jeans looking cute. Heâll give the girl that... Sheâs cute. In a cheek pinching sorta way. â Lenaâs not home. â He hopes thatâll be enough for her to leave. â She got caught up in the office. â And is late to our dinner date, he wants to mention too but doesnât. Kara is involved in their relationship enough.
@nationalcityy
me: iâm fine.
me, internally: lena started college around the age of sixteen because 1. homegirlâs a genius and 2. to go canonically with the show she shouldâve finished her careers and masters before twenty three to now be taking care of l  corp. in the preview of âace reporterâ she tells her bezzie mate kara danvers that she and jack were close for five years before starting a serious relationship for two years, meaning lena met jack when she was seventeen, meaning he was already in college and probably a grade or two more advanced than lena. which means they mustâve started going at it when lena was seventeen and jack twenty three/twenty four. what the fuck is up with that.Â
jack: are actually willing to pine over someone who is in a happy and committed relationship    more than i can say about you⌠are you actually willing to risk this, risk us, for someone who probably doesnât feel the same way about you ?? for a genius, and pardon me, youâre quite⌠irrational.
lena:Â
lena.
â i thought you said YOU DIDNâT WANT TO FIGHT. â she keeps the volume of her voice low, if they both start screaming then theyâre not going to get anywhere with this and if sheâs meant to keep HER HEAD COLD during this whole exchange then sheâll do it. she can manage it, she knows how to lie, how to fake innocence when thereâs none. has managed to hide from kara herself her feelings and how theyâre now, messing her relationship. relationship she SHOULDNâT HAVE STARTED when feeling something so strong for another person. but whatever, right ?? what did people say    the best way to get over someone was to GET UNDER SOMEONE ELSE ( it hadnât worked so far, but maybe lena just had to give it time ). â oh jack, for christâs sake. listen to yourself !! you sound absolutely demented. kara is my friend. MY BEST FRIEND and nothing more. youâre seeing things where there arenât any. â
â Oh my god, I canât believe your guts. â He chuckles, Jack knew she was cynical but this: Actually telling him heâs imagining the whole deal? That those lingering gazes and soft touches are nothing but a platonic display of affection? That those times where in the middle of the night, when they are sleeping together and Lenaâs phone goes off with Karaâs name bright on the screen and she gives her priority, are but to be taken as friendly? Unbelievable. â Keep lying at my face Lena, maybe if you do it hard enough Iâll believe it. You know she has a boyfriend, right? Are you actually willing to get involved in that? Are actually willing to pine over someone who is in a happy and committed relationship--More than I can say about you... Are you actually willing to risk this, risk us, for someone who probably doesnât feel the same way about you? For a genius, and pardon me, youâre quite... Irrational. â
