//NEW DESIGN// Maytime Maker, 2021. A new god joins the Glass Pantheon! Why an Easter goddess well past the holiday, let alone the Spring Equinox? Why is it called Maytime when it's still April? Why does she look more like a bogwitch than the goldhaired maiden she's typically depicted as? Because in Canada we can never tell when the last frost is, time is a human construct and I like alliteration, and I do what I want. Plus she is one stunning bogwitch don't @ me Many considerations were made in this reimagining of Johannes Gehrts' "Ostara, 1901" (another Gehrts one, yes). These include a cool but impractical stained glass birdhouse, animated glassblown fauna, and a forest glass vessel with trademark prunts to boot. I am really psyched about this one!! //NEW DESIGN//: MEPHITIC MURMURS The Lonely Hydra appears again in the wake of another lockdown, as well as when seasonal depression is quite strong. Despite the concept, I am very happy with how it came out. Very metal 🤘 There are many iterations but this one is my favourite colour scheme! I'll post them sometime soon. Here's another #DnD portrait, this time of my character for the same campaign with Rook. His name is Frycek and he's a kobold bard. He can be his own band since he plays the tamborine, the drums, the hurdy-gurdy and kazoo... imagine how that sounds! He has a very simple design that provided great practice for rendering. After losing the hard drive I entered a funk with my digital work, but this sort of stuff motivates me to return to my WiP and new ideas! //NEW DESIGN// but not really! Now you can get the putti assistants from "Maytime Maker" separately. The only one that needed extra work was the blue one since he was coming up from Eostre's right. Another interesting note is that their colours correspond to the fairies in Disney's Sleeping Beauty! Was fun realizing that after finalizing, it was purely subconscious. A few //SOCIETY6// products ot "Below Deck" coming your way! Classmates of mine told me the colours are very "soviet" which is hilarious to me since ethnically I have some strong feelings about that. Plus it's an interesting descriptor to place on an artwork that's not propaganda in nature. I just tend to get really into what I'm working on, sometimes with the bold colours. 🤔 So! Soviet or not? The last product in my store, "Below Deck"! Based on the work of Dawn Dupree, this was a surface printing assignment exploring urban ruin, which is another realm I love the aesthetics of.
