<#🍷#> “Oh, trust me, I’m not too picky, as long as what I’m served varies from day to day. Variety is the spice of life, as the saying goes. Though I must admit, the more complex the dish, the the more interested I become. I’m sure you’ll serve up something wonderful, though.”
She ran her hand teasingly across Prim’s neck before crossing to a small dining room table beside the facilities. She did enjoy watching a good meal being prepared.
“I’ll do my best to live up to your expectations Mistress Elise.” Prim replied before washing her hands and grabbing the ingredients necessary.
The maid took into account cook times and pacing before setting to work. Everything was done with extreme precision as she prepared dinner. The scents of the dishes began to fill the kitchen once the preparations had reached the midway point. As she worked Primrose hummed and bounced.
When time was almost up Prim grabbed plates. Once the cooking was complete the food was checked and plated before the stove was turned off. The rabbit set two plates down at the table before grabbing the napkins and utensils. Once more Elise’s were set before her first, afterwards Prim finally allowed herself to be seated.
“I present to you a medium porterhouse steak with a side of brussels sprout hash with sage and walnuts as well as roasted rutabega in brown butter.” She announced. “I-I hope this will be to your liking.”
<#🍷#> Elise watched her new servant at work, raising an eyebrow at the sudden change in demeanor. Primrose had changed from her social timidity to a culinary confidence, and she quite enjoyed watching it. That was the confidence she had imagined when she had refit the outfit.
“To my liking? I would say so, certainly.” She chuckled as the plate was finally placed in front of her, eyeing the delightful meal. She gripped the fork and knife, sawing off a portion of the steak, closing her mouth around the fork and slowly, deliberately chewing. She knew she’d enjoy it, but there was no fun in not being suspenseful at Prim’s expense, especially since yes, the meal was cooked perfectly.
“I don’t have a single complaint. In fact, I have nothing but complements for you, dear Primrose.” She finally said, taking another bite. Yes, she’d made a good choice in her new maid, that was for certain.
