!!! Animated Snow White and Animated Sleeping Beauty film trivia:

In the first drafts of Snow White, the Prince was supposed to have a more active presence in the film but further rewrites and art limitations led to a lesser presence but he was initially supposed to be a more swashbuckling type of guy who can fight. The idea of a Prince who can quite literally fight became the basis of Prince Philip who has an entire fight sequence against Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty due to improvements as time passed.
