It’s Time To Choose Our Next Event!
Hello everyone!
We’re all geared up for another Spinearl Event - so we’d like to hear what you want that to be!
From now until February 14, send us asks with the types of events you’d like to see - whether a Big Bang, an exchange, or something else altogether. Once we have entries in, there will be a week of voting with the new event announced February 22.
So send in your ideas - we’re looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

It definitely didn’t! haha Even if it doesn’t appear in canon (because that’s not what matters in shipping, it’s about having fun first and foremost!), this pairing is special for lots of peeps out there and we intend to support the community’s love in any way we can! Remember, shipping is supposed to be an enjoyable experience for everyone, canon doesn’t really dictate anything. <3

The November 30th, and final fusion in the Spinearl Fusion Fest is @maybehuntresswizard ‘s Rhodochrosite. Can’t link that one either.
None of the others had been an outdoors night time scene, the closest was day one’s stormy scene, so I wanted to do that for the final one. I put some motion blur on the clouds this time too.
I can’t really think of much to say about this fusion. I took a long time to decide on a pose; I had thirteen different sketches before I settled on this one.
Fusion Fest was a lot of fun - exhausting, but fun. I made a background and whole scene for the first picture and I didn’t want to disappoint the people who’d made all of the other fusions so I forced myself to do the same for all of the others, which I think was good for me; I hadn’t really done much with regards to backgrounds before. Stylised speech bubbles too.
I love the slash through ‘broken’ - very evocative, and contrasts nicely with her sweet, shy look!

I drew all of the others in a day but for this one, I just couldn’t think of anything so I put it off and came back the next day. When I did, I came up with this.
It’s another beach/water scene like last time but with sand included. I was going to style this so it looked like a polaroid picture and it still has the dimensions for that but I got rid of the frame when I’d finished everything, I suppose because I didn’t know what to write on it.
That bright grin is really charming - perfect for a beach day!

The November 28th fusion in the Spinearl Fusion Fest is @crestartist ‘s Pezzottaite.
There wasn’t a lot to go off of in the document but I took a look at the original post and there was a bit there about her resembling a flamingo, so I was going to do something with her standing in the water but the pose felt too similar to the reference. Instead, she’s sitting down. Maybe she fell.
Pezzottaite has a small colour palette and that works really well - having the gloves, eyepatch, shorts, and one of her iris tones being all the same colour, for example. It feels cohesive.
I love that slightly pensive/pouty look - it does a great job of implying a story!

The November 27th fusion in the Spinearl Fusion Fest is @cryingspikes ‘s Pink Smithsonite. Cryingspikes’ blog doesn’t seem to link either.
I got an idea for this one rather quickly when the document said she could turn her head 360 degrees and suffers from mood swings. Having her turn her head like that proved difficult because of the way her hair works and also didn’t make for very good poses so I dialled it back some and came out with this.
I wasn’t sure whether she had red lips or if her mouth was open in the reference, so I went with lips.
The ominous look od this is amazing - I love the way the light divides her face!
