okay, so i did my personal saw character tier list, and for some reason it didn’t have william on it????? which obviously he would be top tier, at the front, of course, but that goes without saying. obviously this tier list requires a bit more explanation because there’s just certain characters i can’t rank without explaining.

YOU’RE DOING AMAZING SWEETIE--all-around a fantastic character, morally-bankrupt or not. i am rooting for them at pretty much every turn. if they die, their death impacts me. every time they are on screen, i am not bored. that, or even if their appearance is brief, i just want the best for them (even if they are horrible people/i don’t condone their actions.) will would be here.

chad or bae--characters who deserve love, not the YOU’RE DOING AMAZING SWEETIE amount of love, but characters who i feel like either don’t get enough love or are often overlooked. a lot of the characters in this tier are smart characters that either don’t get enough credit because of their short screentime. addison for example made a dumb decision but she’s smart most of the rest of the movie and i like her a lot.

you’re the worst but i like you--characters where i’m a little more neutral on, but i can acknowledge i still lean more towards liking them than disliking them. they’re also generally morally bankrupt in this tier, and i feel a little less terrible about their downfall. (i genuinely cry when amanda dies, to put it into perspective, despite the fact she’s terrible). for some reason jigsaw wasn’t on this list otherwise he would be here.

who are you--the TRUE neutral tier. the “what you did was either so unimpactful or you were there just to die” tier. characters who i don’t dislike but just don’t like because they aren’t memorable.

I WANT TO PLAY A GAME--this is the “you’re the worst and i actively dislike you” tier. obviously i am not here to condone anything in these movies, but these are characters i find myself going “good riddance” at their fate. characters who more or less deserve what happens to them.

and also the fact that i can tell what trap or test or game it is just by looking at the some of the most obscure screenshots says a lot about me lmaooo
