Slow Going, Still Growing
February 2026
It's always like this
My desk =')
still laughing about this moment with my pops and had to draw it. spoken like a true lifelong jam band enjoyer

New blog look.. New Me...
TWO (2) ME... 4 YOU...
GEESE - TAXES
Cameron Winter in indie rock band Geese's 2025 release Getting Killed really wailed the line "if you want me to pay my taxes / you'd better come over with a crucifix / you're gonna have to nail me down" and just expected us to all be fucking normal about that I guess
Pics from my June 2025 gallery show "Soft Portals" in Lafayette, Indiana!!
Bonus Pic of me at the reception lookin' real loved:
My artist statement, transcribed:
SOFT PORTALS is the culmination of 14 years of always crocheting something, and only sometimes finishing anything. Many abandoned projects and lots of scrap yarn have found their way into these works. My process involves a lot of “what if” & “yes, and” thinking - a bit too often I'm known to say “it just needs one more thing”.
I set out to put together a show that explores the potential of crochet in gallery context, and to ruminate more on large-scale installation as a framework for my fiber art practice. I also thought a lot about the impact slow art forms have on subject matter - what can it mean to spend countless hours lovingly rendering the mundane?
This body of work has been a labor of love, and there's nothing I love more than putting an insane amount of effort into something kind of silly. It's my elaborate expression of devotion to the inherent absurdity of being an alive human person who can make things. It’s weird, difficult, and wonderful, and it’s the reason I'm here. I'm glad you are too.

Chasing the rush of finishing the crochet work for my gallery show by going back and completing almost-done projects, like this granny hexagon lap blanket!
Bonus pics of me lookin' greasy with it (for scale) :
Back to scribbling away at this comic I started in Fall of 2023 (!?)
it's just me and my uni power tank 0.7 ballpoint pen against the world, ya know?
