Thinking about a situation where Jay can’t really feel love the way he used to after using shatterspin. And getting his memory back makes that even worse so he leaves in the middle of the night but Nya tracks him down again and talks him into coming back…..
Biggest plot hole in Dragons Rising is that everyone is surprised the merge is Wu’s fault. Because I’m pretty sure at least half of all the bullshit they’ve gone through has either been his fault or he’s known about it but never mentions it until its way too late for that to really be helpful.
Rewatching the pilot episodes and I thibk part of Kai’s sword making issues is that he’s putting an entire sword into a water bucket half the sword’s size.

Working Heirarchy: The Three Origin Dragons→ The Source Dragons → FSM → Etc.
The Three Dragons of Origin created the first realm and some of the others before the FSM came into being. They started that creation to seal away something known as The All Consuming Nothingness, but after creating some realms and the Source Dragons they took a step back to let creation find its own path with some guidence.
Two of the Origin Dragons remained in a hidden part of the First Realm to guide and rule the dragons. The third, Dareth, took on a human form and went to Ninjago after it's creation to experience what life is like for mortals.
Unfortunately existing before even time means all three Origin Dragons have a very skewed idea of what counts as a threat where they truly need to step in, but Dareth has in some capacity through choice or circumstance because he considers the Ninja his friends.
Dareth revealed his status as an Origin Dragon to Dareth prior to the Merge, as he wanted that truth out there before they really got serious. They stayed in Ninjago city and had their respective business dealings.
After the Merge they moved to a still-hidden part of what was the First Realm to Dareth's old home, the Golden Palace, as it was far safer in the early years after the Merge. They do eventually return to Ninjago City and rebuild Ronin's shop, spending time in both places.
They aren't officially married by Dragon standards, which is the only way they could be because I really doubt either of them have any of the necessary documents required to get legally married. Dareth might with his various businesses, but those are also probably of dubious legality.
Close to whenever the Plot involving everyone kicks off, Dareth and Ronin end up adopting a little girls after finding her abandoned. All three Origin Dragons did everything in their power to find her family but came up short and decided to step up and take care of her. They love her very much and more than anything she starts Ronin trying to get on a straighter path (Somewhat. At the end of the day it's still Ronin and Dareth.)
Ronin actually takes to being the partner of an ancient dragon who helped create the universe very well. He gets along with the other two Origin Dragons very well and knows them well enough to know they're not so bad. Dareth has been away long enough that most things don't require his (and therefore Ronin's) presence, but when they do get involved with ceremonies, meeting and rituals, Ronin does take it seriously for Dareth's sake.
Because Dareth can create gold, money is never an issue for them. They just do the antique shop and go searching through junk for good stuff to sell for the love of the game.
no but ronin x dareth is great bc they're both scammers. just absolutely bullshitting their way through life. constantly lying and bamboozling. half the time they aren't even good at it. they just do it for the love of the game. they're my favorite
Completely reworking the Dragon Dareth AU in my mind so it can exist in the Dragons Rising timeline and honestly I’m liking it so much better than trying to fit it into pre-DR Ninjago
Allmost caught up with Dragons Rising and I can’t stop thinking about Jay and I hope things keep being messy with him. Like he’s already got a job to catch Ras, and even with his memories coming back he did still shatter his goodness and I think it’d be really neat if that in particular has more long lasting impacts that the other’s don’t realize yet. A Jay who remembers his time as a Ninja, who everyone thinks will be fine now, getting caught up in a fight and showing brutality that catches everyone off guard. Still trying to go for the kill when that’s not what they do.
Just… Still trying to pick up the pieces from what happened to him and Nya still sticking by him because she’s lost him for too long. She isn’t going to let him isolate himself again.
On s1e11 of Dragon’s Rising and it’s so funny how Lloyd keeps going on about how Master Wu always kept things running on his own as if he didn’t have the Ninja scrubbing the baseboards and doing other household tasks for him constantly
For some unknown reason I have suddenly found myself thinking about my au where Dareth Ninjagoman is a dragon that decided to take on a human form and live his idea of a ‘normal’ life. Which is just as fun as i remember it being
