Williamina Fleming s Triangular Wisp : Chaotic in appearance, these tangled filaments of shocked, glowing gas are spread across planet Earth’s sky toward the constellation of Cygnus as part of the Veil Nebula. The Veil Nebula itself is a large supernova remnant, an expanding cloud born of the death explosion of a massive star. Light from the original supernova explosion likely reached Earth over 5,000 years ago. Blasted out in the cataclysmic event, the interstellar shock waves plow through space sweeping up and exciting interstellar material. The glowing filaments are really more like long ripples in a sheet seen almost edge on, remarkably well separated into the glow of ionized hydrogen atoms shown in red and oxygen in blue hues. Also known as the Cygnus Loop, the Veil Nebula now spans nearly 3 degrees or about 6 times the diameter of the full Moon. While that translates to over 70 light-years at its estimated distance of 1,500 light-years, this field of view spans less than one third that distance. Often identified as Pickering’s Triangle for a director of Harvard College Observatory, the the complex of filaments is cataloged as NGC 6979. Spirit Twin - Anymore

Fate, fortune and psychedelic experience intertwine in “Anymore”, the latest audiovisual spectacle from New York’s Allen Feldman and Anna Brower of Spirit Twin. A big, lofty sound saturated through the glob of its amorphous synths, the unwieldy wobble of “Anymore” is carried forth by the beacon of vocalist Anna Brower’s heavenly allure. “Anymore” is not a track to take a linear structure by any means, and eventually the track drifts off into it’s something that’s reflected in the dark fantasy of its short film. Narrated by the Tarot and its chemical inclinations, “Anymore” follows the story Allen and Anna as they walk a journey of self-discovery. Speaking about the concept for this latest video, here’s what they had to say behind their latest trip-out:

“‘Anymore’ is a story of awakening, rebirth and ultimately, a return to nature. We find Allen and Anna underneath the setting winter sun, brewing a magic potion to invoke Mother Earth. Almost immediately they’re separated and become lost in the chaos of their individual experiences, where they encounter mythical forest beings that both frighten and inspire awe. Tarot cards are used to give context to each character that they meet. Allen and Anna eventually find each other again at the foot of Mother Earth herself. There they are presented with a prophetic message and returned to their conscious state—awakened, enlightened, and anew.

‘Anymore’ is a song that looks at the impact of the current state of our technology obsessed culture, where people are left less in touch with themselves, their physical connection to the world and the people around them.”
