he understands that it’s hard for kenma to be around people. it’s hard for him to interact with people outside of the team, let alone in and he respects that. he doesn’t push him to go out of his way and talk. though, sometimes he can’t help but worry when he sees him alone. he knows that he’s content, but there’s always something small that nags him. so he does his best to try and check up on him.

‘it’s alright.’ and he kneels down next to him. ‘how has today been? if you don’t mind me asking.’

      he didn’t mind the others presence as he sat down next to him. a little company was reassuring. slightly tensed shoulders relaxed somewhat, as if his body language were to invite yaku to continue the conversation. hands that were normally preoccupied with a small handheld console were left empty, hands moving to preoccupy themselves as he tried to think of a reply.

       at first, the other’s words startled him- kenma wasn't really        expecting yaku to come forward and start a conversation. did        it look like he was upset? a curled up position with knees up to        his chest, head resting in his arms folded was a pretty normal        look for him. while others were talking and enjoying each other’s        presence, the blonde preferred to shy away from the group, watching mouths move and expressions change from afar. it was lonely at times, but he’s learned to deal with it. 

                 “sorry, i-” a deep sigh escaped his lips, “i know.”
