The Fun of a Gun Sam Forsyth-Gray
32 pages

Edition of 10
Optional A4 Cover Print (unframed)
A zine about guns.
Growing up in Australia I was always fascinated by guns through movies and constantly craved toy guns as a child, and to act out the use of these weapons. I find the idea of a gun to be very powerful, even children of parents who deny them access to toy guns still use a stand in object, or simply their fingers to mimic the shape of a pistol.
For me the interest in guns is two sided, on one hand I love the cultural references to guns in film and television, along with a certain sense of nostalgia. On the other hand I hate the attitude towards guns in America and the toll that gun violence has on their society.
The Fun of a Gun is an exploration into this gun culture that fascinated me growing up, and still to this day gives me mixed emotions.
