Join us on Saturday, May 4 @ 10:30 a.m. and read with therapy dog “Noah”.   Children are sometimes self-conscious when reading aloud, but not with an attentive dog listener.  By reading aloud to a friendly dog, children can improve their reading skills and build self esteem.

Join us on Thursday, April 18th at 6:00 p.m. to make a hand painted welcome sign on slate.  Pre-registration is REQUIRED!  Call 814-587-3901.  This program supports social literacy.

We are promoting health literacy during National Library Week with a mindfulness workshop.  Join us on Tuesday, April 9 at 2:00 p.m. and learn techniques to calm and clear your mind and focus on the moment.  The health and wellness of our community is important to us!

Bring your little ones and join us for a story and learning activity.   Story time teaches children how to play with others, develops listening and speaking skills, and teaches the skills that children need to be ready for school. Storytime supports basic literacy and helps children to become lifelong readers!

Spend an evening with friends and tap into your creative side. We hold craft workshops on the third Thursday of each month.  This month, learn how to make a beaded necklace or bracelet.  All supplies are provided. Creating your own jewelry can be fun!  Bead Jewelry Workshop is tonight at 6:00 p.m.  This program supports Civic and Social Literacy, one of the five key literacies of PA Forward.

Check out the display at  Springboro Public Library highlighting the importance of financial literacy.  Stop in at one of our workshops and learn healthy financial habits. Check out “Save, Spend and Share”, a special program on financial literacy for children.  Help your child learn to manage money!

Preschool Story Hour

We had a blast at the Preschool Story Hour, Monday, December 22, 2014! We read three stories, created two ornaments, one we hung on the tall white Christmas Tree in window and the other we got to take home. Then shared a delicious snack. We went home with a very nice Christmas gift bag from the library staff! See you next year!!!
