“Moving out– ack!”
The angel raced towards the door that connected Skyworld to the world of the mortals. Just as he was about to jump and get ready for flight, however, a large laser shot out towards the door, missing the angel by only a fraction of an inch. Glancing behind him to see flames flickering through the darkness, he hustled towards the outside world and leaped. His wings glowed a fluorescent purple as he was taken into the sky by the Goddess of Light, Kyouko.
Naegi was grateful to Kyouko, to say the least. Ever since he had saved her 25 years ago, she had dedicated herself to her only soldier, using her powers to grant him the ability to fly at long last. She looked out for him, leaving him snacks to replenish his health after long flying battles and bestowing grind rails upon him that only he, her last soldier, could use. To make a long story short, without the goddess’ kindness, Naegi would be…well, finished.
However, Naegi was pulled out of his thoughts as he just barely dodged a raging tornado. Focusing himself after that, he realized he was in a sky full of them, the raging winds whipping against his face and ruffling his wings. However, he didn’t have time to complain as Monoeyes spawned. The boy readied his bow, shooting at them with deadly accuracy.
“Is the door busted?” the hero asked. While he was talking to seemingly nobody, a voice resonated in his brain. A familiar one, at that.
“The door is the least of our problems,” the voice responded. Naegi would recognize the analytical voice of Kyouko herself anywhere. “Monobear has rejoined the fray.”
“Oh no…”
“Oh, yes. Now we have his forces and Enoshima’s terrorizing the humans,” the goddess responded. While her voice offered little sign of worry, Naegi knew that she was just as concerned for the mortals below as he was. “The Underworld Army and the Forces of Nature are out for blood, each other’s, yours, and the human’s.”
Naegi said nothing, continuing to listen to his goddess speak as he relentlessly shot at his enemies. He had dealt with both sides on their own before…surely he could ride out the storm with both sides targeting him.
“On the Underworld side, Monobear has put TeruTeru back into play as leading commander,” Kyouko continued in an orderly tone. “And as for the Forces of Nature, Enoshima has placed Nagito directly below her.”
“Nagito?” Naegi asked in confusion. He had heard that name before. “Who’s–”
Just as those words left Naegi’s lips, he was knocked over by an incredible force. The tingly sensation of simply being near electricity increased tenfold as a searing pain shot out through him. He felt himself hurl off course, hurling straight towards a tornado as he writhed in pain. The Power of Flight had been interrupted and deactivated, causing the boy to fall victim to gravity. The boy barely heard Kyouko’s screams of worry as he was plunged into winds much faster than he could ever fly, and the excited chatter of Monobear and Enoshima in the distance. He struggled to get back into play despite the agonizing feeling of electrocution still in his veins, but was hit straight in the face with flying debris and was quickly knocked out.
He was awoken later by the choking smell of gas and the semi warmth of humidity and cloudy skies. He groaned as he managed to sit up, his wings folded straight against his back. He had taken a pretty harsh trip to this…unknown place. Once his eyes stopped seeing stars, he looked around. He was…on top of a building, it seemed. Down below, he could see humans outside. Young humans, it seemed. They were chatting nonchalantly, everyone in their own little groups. However, down there, he spied that one such human was alone. One with frizzy white hair, and a jacket that made him look slightly like a Christmas tree. Curious as to why this stranger was alone, Naegi carelessly leaned over the edge. Just then, a sharp wind (as if he hadn’t had enough of that) blew, and the frail angel fell from the building, hurling straight towards the boy he had been so curious to see.
What was going on? He had been enjoying some time alone, for once. There’s nothing wrong in doing so, too many unpleasant events within the area lately. There’s no such thing as ‘relaxation’ for him during the weekdays, so this is the chance to actually commit himself to doing nothing. For now. There were no guards, either, since there was no need for them to accompany him during this small walk that he called a trip.
But there’s no such thing as sitting down, calming down yourself now within this horrifyingly chaotic world, seeing as so many sides fought against each other and the strange fact that there was something else other than humans--he couldn’t put his finger on it but he’s sure something else existed--lived within this world, he’s almost positive about it. It was good to imagine something beyond the ordinary, right?
The weather was strangely windy today, but the weather forecast said that it’d be scorching hot with a temperature of thirty to thirty three degrees celsius. Had they forecasted the wrong weather? But how was it so... different? Speculations rose, theoretical thinking from his past lessons jumbled up together within his mind, did they even make any sense? It was for him to decide, but he’s sure the answer would be a no.
He also wishes that his current luck cycle isn’t that much of a pain yet for today, as today was just a simple attempt to take a break from everything--there’s no such thing as a fazed cycle within these sort of things. Or so he thought.
Komaeda decided to take a seat in a slightly crowded park, envious that there were other people who talked within groups, some even had their ears against a cellphone, chatting happily with warm smiles. He wishes he could talk to someone like that, how long has it been since he engaged in a conversation with his mother and father without any leads towards ignorance and being shrugged off.
He hates the fact that he was so alone within this world, no matter how messed up it was he just wants to have someone to talk to daily without the feeling of being judged. If his family can’t provide what he wants then who can? Who can he trust without a second doubt in his mind? He yearns for that time to come, and tries his best to be patient until then.
The prince settled himself on a seat under the library nearby; happy that he had avoided the strong winds because of it’s surroundings. He felt a strange, no he wouldn’t call it strange... different, maybe--kind of presence somewhere above him. From the skies, that seemed unlikely.
But his train of thought was interrupted after, wait what a falling person from the buildings above? How did they even reach above? And they were landing above him--in front of him, technically, ouch that must’ve hurt. But what really piqued his interest was the fact that the figure had wings,
“A-Are you alright?” Doesn’t look like it, it was a stupid question to ask. “Do you need some help? I can contact my supervisors and patch you up.”

It was one of those moments she thought that moving was probably not the smartest move she’d make in her life. Not that she had massive amounts of bad luck or any sort, but it seemed that everything became infinitely more lively ever since she moved. It was also one thing if it was some sort of normal kind of lively, but it wasn’t. Really. As if actually witnessing someone slip on a banana peel wasn’t unlikely enough, just the fact that someone was actually slipping on a banana peel was more than enough of weird for her. That kind of stuff only happened in cartoons!
“Are you alright?” a tentative question to the stranger, knowing full well that they might not want to speak to her all things considered. The worst thing that could happen was her being shrugged off, but that wasn’t something really horrible.
“I-I’m alright.” He’s struggling to keep his balance--the fall had definitely gotten some sort of impact towards his balance system, if such a thing existed. His luck cycle must’ve been on the bad part, but it was mostly due to clumsiness. Who would leave a banana peel on the middle of the street, anyway? It could’ve made someone slip and fall, like what he had just experienced!
“C-Could you help me out?” he asked, a sheepish smile forming on his lips. He hopes he’s not bothering the girl, but asking for help seemed likely, as he can’t stand up by himself. “I need some help standing up.”

Just because you miss someone, it doesn’t mean you should go back to them. Sometimes you have to just keep missing them until you wake up one morning and realise that you don’t anymore.

Maybe I’ll never love myself, but can’t I at least learn to accept who I am? Is that too much to ask for?

[Cori whimpered and rolled onto her side, facing him] I don’t like them touching me.

[Cori hissed and spit as nurses held her down, twisting her body away from the hands touching her. She didn’t want these people near her. Her fingernails dug into the bedding underneath her as she struggled, lets kicking head twisting to try and bite the other nurses holding her]
He could see the nurse become more and more agitated by her actions--this isn’t something good--and quickly ordered everyone to bring her bed towards another room. She’s not used to this, though she should.
“Just go out, immediately.” His voice sounded rude--though he didn’t mean to--and he could see the others rush away from the room, they didn’t like her, he realised. “I’m... please don’t repeat that, Cori-san? You might get a deadly injection if you keep this going.”

What’s the worst thing I’ve stolen? Probably little pieces of other people’s lives. Where I’ve either wasted their time or hurt them in some way. That’s the worst thing you can steal, the time of other people. You just can’t get that back.
