Let’s go! Jewel-lycanthropy day 12!

Here we got ruby! A fellow musician who sometimes does crossover music with Black Opal! And also is a friend of Black Opal.

Of course I spun the wheel and… we got a werewolf. Which is fitting, I guess. For one of the prompts.

I like how I went for a tropical vibe with her outfit, and the sand castle prompt being the little crown she wears. It took a bit longer because while I was doing whatever, my recent searches dissolved. Disappeared. Gone. 💀. Which brought down my mood a little. But no worries, I finished it and here we are now.

I’d like to think Ruby and Black Opal’s band name would probably be Scarlet Night because yea that sounds cool as hell. And I do like the glittery translucent poncho and.. the.. side dress thing I did.

Btw here’s today’s illustration to show you where our group is in right now!

Basically our group has made it to a peculiar artistic fighting place in the form of an island region, where each July every year, new idols appear based off of different teams and each region is themed after that idol and their team. Anywho, our team makes it there and meet my ArtFight sona Luta, and a BUNCH of narrators.

Buuuut, considering our team is from Parable Labs, and a narrator-oriented incident happened, some beef happens between the two groups and get into a battle. A 6 vs 12 battle. (Luckily, our main team wins the battle!)

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s July. It begins now.

JEWELY AND JULYCANTHROPY BEGIN NOW!

For those new here, Jewely is an original art challenge I made for this month, and I’m going to fuse this with Julycanthropy!

Anyway, how will this work?

Well, simple for the first 6 days, where you’ll be introduced to the main group. Then, after 6 and now on, I will spin a wheel to see what species the gem character will be! And to add a bit of ArtFight spice, whichever side got the most species wins!

Anyway here we have Peridot, my Jewely sona. She is based off my birthstone! Cool!

She is a worker at Parable Labs, usually in the tech department, and they’re friends with the other 5 gem prompts, Sphalerite, Amber, Rhodolite, Ametrine and garnet, the last one in Jewely, Citrine. But something seems off with Citrine, i wonder what’s up?

And every now and then in this month I will do lore illustration sketches alongside the character design image.

Anyway looks like artfight has started! LETS BEGIN THE TRI CHALLENGE!

I AM JOINING ARTFIGHT 2026 BAYBEEE!!!

THATS RIGHT CHAT! I AM REJOINING ARTFIGHT! (I was in artfight last year) AND IM BRINGING MY NARRATORS WITH ME!

Also as well alongside artfight I will ALSO be doing Julycanthropy AND my own July gem art challenge! Which I will be fusing together!

I’m on team comedy, if you haven’t noticed. Because one, orange is a lucky colour for me, and two, it has that SPOOKI (see what I did there) vibe, and three: dark humour.

But yeah! That’s why I was busy. I am joining artfight, and doing two art challenges in one.

An end to it all.

AND WERE AT THE END CHAT!!! my goodness this finale Mermay was kinda fun to do! This month had its lonely times, but that’s okay. That’s just small steps and something to remind me.

Again, will I be doing another art challenge next month? Nah. I see June as a bit boring and more of a resting spot. But I may be doing artfight in July! So that’s a plus.

So our characters Ellis and Zuomeng/Narrator end up on a beach in the Mermay AU universe, both the two see the beautiful blue moon.

And btw, do you remember Navek? Well, here’s his true form! Named Kevan! This TSP narrator design right here appeared in the Labradoozy TSP event I was in! So that’s pretty cool! Anyway that dude is PISSED at Zuomeng for leaving him behind, so he chases him.

Following suit, my Narrator oc I saw in a dream appears. Their name is Alex. He apologises to Ellis for what has happened, before chasing after Kevan.

Ellis takes one last look at the ocean, smiles, and follows suit on the two. Ellis and Zuomeng still have much to do.

But anyway, that’s the end of the line. And who knows if this will happen again. I mean, it WILL but it might not be Mermay AU related-

[Day 3: Oarfish Amy]

While I work on the other two designs here, have mermaid, Amy. For Amy , i based her off of A oarfish.

she has a tendency to change her size however so the longest her tail can be is 56 feet while the shortest is 10 feet.
