I bring up the coffee scene from Thor in just about every conversation I have about Marvel movies or superhero movies in general.

They spent millions of dollars making that movie, and not only did they spend time shooting a scene where he gets so excited about drinking coffee for the first time that he smashes a cup, they shot a scene where he fucking comes back and apologizes for breaking the cup and gives the lady a new cup to replace the one he broke. I love it. Love it so much. It’s so silly and so charming, and it makes me smile thinking about it. I know there are people out there who think that scene is stupid. I spend my daily life avoiding those people as much as possible.

The top image contains the new Smash Bros. game’s Assist Trophies (here’s a version with the Metroid shown this morning), while the other pic shows the playable characters with their ancillary buddies, like Olimar with his Pikmin. Both are from Neorice, who is on Tumblr so you should follow him.

Don’t forget that there will be a Nintendo Direct dedicated to the 3DS/Wii U game tomorrow, streaming at 6PM ET (12AM EU time) — we’ll probably see one or two new faces to add to the roster!
