I drew Gigi Thompson, for Black History Month!
She’s from my Have It All AU, and no, she doesn’t work for Cognito Inc… Exclusively.
Gigi Thompson works primarily for the Illuminati, as Dietrich Klüge’s personal assistant, and Right Hand. She’s the one who makes it all happen, following his instructions. Ruthless, young, and unstoppable, Gigi is the perfect woman for the job. She can make things happen, and has the tenacity to back it up. Her boss gives her as much power as he has, and those who defy her will pay dearly.
Dietrich does not joke around with Gigi. He knows she is to be taken seriously, and he expects everyone else around him to do the same, and he trusts her to know what to do. He certainly pays her enough.
She also works as a media consultant for Cognito Inc., through commission work. Dietrich advised her early on in their professional relationship to poke around in the company of his arch nemeses and rivals (Rand Ridley and J.R. Scheimpough, ugh,) to ensure they don’t get too big for their britches. She’s a double agent, collecting dirt on the secret society no one’s ever heard of, so Dietrich can keep an eye on them, as so ordered by The Robes.
In this SU, the reason Gigi was able to get hired the first time applying for work at the Illuminati in the HIA AU, (I decided in a head-canon,) was because she changed her shoes. She’d decided at the last second to change her shoes, and that had saved her. After acing the interview and actually getting the job, she’d put on the original pair she was going to wear to a celebration that evening, and the heel broke three minutes after she got out of her car! Had she worn the original pair, she’d have broken the heel just as she was arriving, and how embarrassing would that have been??
Dietrich values Gigi beyond measure, and would do anything to keep her happy. It ensures that things run smoothly. She’s one of the very, very, very few people who are allowed to tell him what to do, and he does listen to her. That’s how highly the old man thinks of her.
The ancient man has plans for her, necessary plans, and he needs the two “keys” to make it happen. The crown has to be passed down eventually, right?
