Hi not me getting on my old Tumblr just because I needed to get this out there. I'm really confused why the Kris being Chara theory has gotten so much hate as of recent and I just need to understand.
Quick introduction hi I'm Orion, I'm autistic (diagnosed) and Undertale has been my special interest since 2015. I was very deep into the lore especially removing around timelines and Asriel Dreemurr. He's my favorite! Anyway please be gentle. I'm not here to start a fight but more of a discussion because lore building and understanding are all about exchanging theories and facts and things we missed!
After chapter 4's release I've noticed no one believes Kris is Chara.
While we all can agree (hopefully) that the game isn't finish and no theory has enough proof to be set in stone because the game isn't finished
I still believe Kris is Chara and I want to explain why
I also want to know why people think otherwise.
I'm a huge Undertale lore fan and I'm curious.
So in Undertale we know the bare minimum about Chara. We know they're dead and we can safely assume that Chara was in Frisk's body, only showing themselves at the end of the genocide run.
What they say at the end is "let's erase this pointless world and move on to the next"
Now one thing a lot of Undertale fans remember is the timelines
I strongly believe Deltarune is a time line. Not an AU, not the same world or universe. A time line. Another dimension.
I also wanted to bring up what someone said about Kris not sharing the same name as Chara
Well "Chara" was a place holder. We NAMED Chara. No matter what we named our character, the human would confess that their name was "Frisk" at the end. Although anytime Asriel or Chara would refer to themselves they would call themselves the name us players would name them. We didn't name Frisk. We named Chara.
So in Deltarune.... We didn't name Kris. We named Chara.
I think Chara jumped timelines and wants to erase this timeline. I think they're working with the knight and want to erase this world.. and unfortunately Kris is the new Frisk.
It might be an unpopular theory now but.... I can't not believe it until Toby fox proves me wrong by the end of chapter 7.
