Oilers win the draft and will be picking first
Again
Rule 61.3
“A major penalty, at the discretion of the Referee based on the severity of the contact, shall be imposed on a player who slashes an opponent. When injury occurs, a major penalty must be assessed under this rule”
Stone went off for what they thought was an injury, which is why Subban received a major. He also received a game misconduct because when a major penalty is issued, there must also be a 10min misconduct with it(Rule 61.5). Also there was no reason to slash at that particular moment.
On February 9th, the Senators were 14 points (51G, 49pts) outside of a playoff spot. Today they are holding the 2nd Wildcard spot (72G, 85pts) and have a game in hand over Boston(73G, 84pts). Since then, they have gotten 36 of a possible 42 points, going 17-2-2 in that span.
What do you think about Dallas not getting Murray over the Eagles?
They’ll survive as long as they get some kind of decent running back. Their offensive line pretty much was the reason for him being #1 in the league last year by a mile.
In 2014, he ran 1,845 yards on 392 carries (5.5). Fantastic. The year before, he ran 1,121 yards on 217 attempts. They changed one player on the offensive line, and increased is workload by almost double. They can still get a 1,000 yard rusher if they find the right fit behind that line.
I think they did in fact undervalue him well before free agency, but I wouldn’t give the guy 8M APY after one break out season. That’s like giving RG3 a 25M contract after making the playoffs once, or the Bills actually giving Fitzpatrick a six-year, 59M contract mid-season. If he wants to win a Superbowl, Dallas right now is his best option. It came down to one call against the Packers, who both really could and should have beaten Seattle
Where do you think Trent Richardson will land?
My guess is someone who absolutely lacks a true, and thinks he can resurrect his career. It might be awhile, since the draft is loaded with first round talent, even great 2nd round.
Chargers, Cowboys, Jets, Rams, Raiders
Free Agency Pt. 2 Thoughts
Eagles replaced McCoy, but Murray worked well with a good offensive line. Unless they draft mostly defense, they are turning into the team that will lose 45-42 this season. Quick offense could ruin defense
Forsett resigns with the Ravens for 3 years. He’s the best on the market, and will give the Ravens some offensive security. Next up should be Stevie Johnson or Scott Chandler. Draft defensive corners, and linemen
Raiders solve their safety problem with Nate Allen. But should be trying to solve their O-Line issues before anything. Give Carr a chance to show what he really has
It’s a fire sale in New Orleans. Browner is the start to the rebuild
Cowboys were smart in only offering Murray 6M APY. Eagles overpaid in a draft heavy with RB talent, and Free Agency still holds C.J. Spiller.
the market for Bowe will be small, but expensive. Patriots, Raiders, Texans, Ravens could be teams vying for him. Ravens may pass due to high price, and better/cheaper receivers in the market and draft. Eagles may take a stab at him as well.

Revis from 2013-2015
Jets: It your fault we suck. *trades Revis*
Bucs: You didn't make our 2-14 team a championship team *release*
Pats: *wins Superbowl XLIX*
Jets: We didn't mean it. Come back. Here's $40 million guaranteed
Free Agency Frenzy
Eagles will most likely be starting Sanchez with Bradford now on the team. Two solid QBs, but there will be competition for the job. Is Mariota still in the mix?
Seattle getting Graham gives them a dangerous TE/WR they have missed. But defense could be in shambles after losing their coordinator and key players. It's going to land on the offense now to win close games
Texans landing Hoyer give them a serious offensive threat for a QB. Career 10-6 with a team that has struggled to even come close to the playoffs for several years. Now need to target a WR2 to help on offense
Ravens trading Ngata gives them the space they need, but now they need to address Forsett and their offense. If they can't land a deep threat or a move-the-chains reliable receiver, Flacco and Co. won't survive the division.
Rams are a serious contender, and continue to build correctly on their momentous finish to the season. Expect at least 2, maybe 3 teams to come out of this division
Saints are rebuilding
Colts are becoming a serious contender for the Superbowl, but have never been able to put it together. Superbowl or bust for them this season.
NFL Free Agency thoughts
Eagles are either going to be a Superbowl contender, or take two steps back. Defense was atrocious last season, but signing big name players (Rodgers-Cromartie) hardly worked for them in the past. Run game could take a big hit in read options with Gore, maybe Sanchez starting
Ravens need to figure out Ngata immediately, and must re-sign Forsett to save a chance at some kind of balanced offense. Smith Sr and Marlon Brown are their 1-2 WRs, and Pitta is still up in the air.
Miami may secure a solid D-line, but offensive success will determine their chance of a playoff spot. Overpaid for Suh- could have used that on offensive players. Run game needs work, O-line definitely more; Tannehil was sacked 46 times (3rd highest in the league)
Maclin provides a necessary asset for the Chiefs, but Alex Smith needs to prove himself in order for it to work. What's the point in WR help if they only combined for zero touchdowns last season?
Bills didn't need McCoy, but seriously gives them a chance for an even better running game. He will replace Fred Jackson, and tandem with Spiller. But They need some sort of QB other than Cassel. Hoyer could be a nice fit.
Flashy players always look good, but if a team wants success, fill the need before the want
New Logos
Also, I'd like to point out that the NFL is moving towards more cartoony 'sleek' designs for their mascots or original logos. Remember the Panthers?
Old
New
And then of course the Browns old and new
New
I wonder how long it took the Browns organization to make the new logo
Pekka Rinne scrambles to make a sequence of unbelievable saves
Best running back and game in the league.... and you let Russell Wilson pass on 2nd down at the 1 yard line with 2 timeouts.
Congrats to the Pats on winning an electric game in the last 2 minutes
