Shit, shit, why did the club president ask Masako to do this? This is an unmitigated disaster. Is this punishment for skipping out on practice this week? It’s stupid is what it is! No one is going to want to go along with a request from the school’s resident delinquent. It’s not like she can threaten people to play volleyball with her. …Or could she? Bribe them with protection?!

( 📘 ) — Haruka couldn’t lie — she was out of practice when it came to sports. She rarely got the opportunity to play outside of the Sports Club when she was still a member, & no one in the Literature Club was too jazzed to play a game against her. She almost wanted to accept the offer without a second thought, but she felt as if she wasn’t as good as she should be they’d be disappointed. Especially with the festival coming up and all... & yet, the offer still seemed so appealing to her.
It also wouldn’t interfere with her work on the festival decorations for the club, either & she knew Monika would be understanding if it did cut into a club meeting. Even so, she didn’t want something to come up last minute & not be able to help after all.
“ ... I’ll think about it. ” She sighs, arms crossed on her chest. “ I’ll need to check some stuff first but... I’ll have an answer tomorrow. ” She was being too cautious, she knew that, but she didn’t want to end up being a liability. What she wouldn’t deny, though, is that she would love to be able to play again. She just didn’t want anything bad happening because of her selfish wants.
