Well deary me, it has been a long time since I ventured onto this blog. The summer has been a bit dire for me. Don't get me wrong - there have been a number of fabulous highlights, but overall the lovely weather has been a bit tricky and difficult to handle so I haven't at all taken advantage of the wealth of sunshine. Dark and dismal conditions seem to suit me better and I find myself looking forward to the shorter days of Winter, though not the many celebrations that this time of year entails. Bit of good news with the boat is that I'm now back at Brick Lock Island and with a permanent mooring this time. The mooring Little Hallingbury was very nice but the freedom and space at Brick Lock Island suits me much better. Pavlova loves it there with the extensive space to run about and explore to her heart's content. Maybe now I'll be spending more time on Emanon. Despite the wonderful weather I've spent very little time on the boat during the summer and only managed a couple of day trips. Couldn't face it and most times didn't trust myself being out there alone. It even got to the point where I was too nervous to go up there. Hopefully that's all over now, but we shall see. Things just don't appear to be improving with time at all. In fact in some ways they get worse. But hey, there are lots of parties to keep things looking like they are fine and they are all at my house so I can manage to attend. I do throw a good party, even if i say so myself. Another one this coming weekend for my birthday where it will be lovely to see my mates and some family. Another 3 weeks later for Berengere. Gives some purpose to the weeks, getting prepared for these shindigs. Pavlova is now asleep on my arm, making typing rather tricky so I'll leave it at that for now.
