Another tradition on Memorial Day Week end is the placement of American Flags on the grave at the VA cemetery. This is not a PFF event but a VA Cemetery Event.

Honoring our fallen solders on Mermorial Day. Volunteers of all walks of life place flags on the graves at the VA cemetary: local boy scouts , families , friends and Veterans take the time to reflect and decorate the graves. A true outpouring of respect and rememberance for the ones who we have lost - the ones who gave it all.

They, along with Dorothy Lane Market, put together 30 Meal Bags that include items to make several meals around the holiday time. Meet Lilly. She's a 4th grader from Kinder Elementary in Miamisburg. Lily has an infectious smile, a great attitude and a generous heart. She and her mom volunteer at our Community Meal once a month with the Kinder staff. It was during her first visit to one bistro that she discovered how much she enjoys serving others. Not only does Lily clean tables, wait tables and sweep the floors, she also gives sacrificially. This past September Lily decided that instead of a big birthday party, she wanted to give to others. Lilly asked her family and friends to give a donation to one bistro instead of buying her a gift. At a Friday assembly at Kinder, Lily presented one bistro with a check for $280, all of her birthday money! Lilly is proof that anyone, at any age, can make a difference. Thank you Lily. Thank you for parents like Lily's that encourage their kids to do good. Thank you, Jeremy Saylor, as the Principal, of Kinder, you are building a movement that empowers kids to believe in the good around them and to invest in it. Thank you Johnna Fantauzzo and all of the teachers and staff at Kinder that give of themselves to make Miamisburg a great place to live!
