Spinel obviously reminds him of his love Rose/Pink Diamond because 1. She’s pink.💐 2. She has the same sort of rambunctiousness we witness Rose had in the past. 🤪

3. She brings a sense of child-like mystery into Greg’s depressing and lonely life. (WE ARE NOT SAYING SHE IS A CHILD BECAUSE THAT IS PEDOPHILIA AND THAT IS ILLEGAL AND IMMORAL-THIS IS JUST A TASTE.)

4. Ever since his wife died, he technically hasn’t even been bound to their marriage now. So he should be free to marry Spinel (if he wanted to teehee NO SPOILERS!!!🙊).

We could go on and on about them!! Spreg is a love story for the ages and we think they should be CANON!! But sadly they are not because Rebecca, that silly goose, simply did not notice this opportunity. 😔🌊💖

Greg was looking out into the ocean, longing for someone… A pink someone… Her heart on her chest to show how much she love she has to share. Yes. You guessed. Greg… Had a crush on Spinel.

Now, Spinel, she was glaring at the portrait of Pink Diamond. She was envious of the pink dictator. She had taken everything from her. Her life, her friendship… Even her crush… It was Greg. Even though she didn't know Greg existed, she knew she longed to marry him, since the moment she was created.

Greg, with his long brown lush hair blowing in the wind, he turned and walked back to the house… Where Spinel stood. He opened and GASP! There stood the love of his life. Spinel turned, her eyes widening, hearts forming in her eyes, as she gazed at the man before him. He muttered, “Spinel.” She muttered, “Greg.” They stood staring at each other, no movement, no sound besides their breathing and their synthetic heartbeats.

Greg blushed, “I-” he stutters, “I-I need to get going.” He hurries off as Spinel sighs and flops onto the couch, “Oh Greg.”

Before Steven walked into the room, he said, obnoxiously loud as per usual, “HeY SpInEl.” She looks up, “Hello Steven.” She said to the boy. He then walks off, not noticing Spinel’s troubles with her crush.

Greg ran off into a room, sweating, how should he come out to Spinel? He frowns and slides to the ground as he wails out loud, “What do I do?!”

Spinel then stands up, annoyed at Pink Diamond taking away everything she loved, “I’m gonna get my man.” She walks off to where Greg was.

Greg was worried, how was he gonna do it? Before, BAMB! Spinel kicked down the door, not even a lousy door was gonna get in her way to her true love.
