At least 20 people have been injured in a Metro bus accident in downtown Houston. The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. CDT, near 2200 Runnels St., on June 1, 2016. According to ABC News, the accident involved the bus, a pickup truck and a street sign.

Byrd was indeed both member of the Klan and indeed the longest serving Dem senator. However, he dropped out of the Klan in 1952… before he began his long run in the US senate (1959-2010). He stated numerous times that joining the Klan was the ‘biggest mistake of his life’ and ‘I know now I was wrong. Intolerance had no place in America. I apologized a thousand times over… and I don’t mind apologizing over and over again. I can’t erase what happened’.

The NAACP even rated his voting record as 100% in line with their position during the 2003-04 session. On top of this, he proposed giving an additional $10,000,000 of funding to the Martin Luther King jr. memorial in Washington DC. Stating that ‘with the passage of time, we have come to learn that his Dream was the American Dream, and few ever expressed it more eloquently’.

I understand that you want to commit a character assassination upon this guy and the party to which he was associated. But please, do a little more research…
