We finished talking about World War II today in my history class and my professor talked about victory day on May 8th and all I could think about was that that was the day the Captain died.

It makes me sad to think that the Captain, who was so involved in the war, so much so that it was his whole life, died on the day it ended. I mean he didn't even get to properly say good bye to Havers. I just- I'm sad now.
