…but they didn't, and this was probably an accident, all thinks considered, and it was a manageable accident up until around 5 minutes ago. The oppressive darkness of the flooded mine and crushing weight of the water all around him are one thing, but at least he could see. He's a mer, he's got excellent night vision, and he's covered in glowing orange speckles all over his tail and sides and back. That provides more than enough light to see by, but unfortunately light is completely useless when there's a bunch of silt suspended in the water.

Sapnap knows that his panicked thrashing is not helping this situation in the slightest, seeing as it's likely only kicking up more silt, but he can't help it - it's dark down here, he can't see, his gills are getting clogged with abandoned mine muck, no one knows that he's down here (at least when he got caught against the grates Farfa found him almost immediately), and, in case he hasn't mentioned it, he can't fucking see.

And like not even counting the Karl's and Quackity's abandonment and Sapnap's depression, on top of it there's such a push for him to isolate himself because every time he talks to people its always "Aren't you glad Dream is gone? Thinking about Niki and Techno having a... confrontation? Conversation? When she's in the middle of her revenge scheme against Tommy and complaining about him to Techno, and Techno tells her to knock it off and she's furious at him for it, because she deserves to stand up for herself for once! How could he, Techno of all people, say that she doesn't deserve to hit back after everything??

And Techno just goes "Okay, but this thing that you're doing. Has it ever worked before? Did it work when Wilbur did it?" And that hits Niki like a train and she starts angry crying because it didnt did it. It never worked no matter how many times they did it and who they hit. She's just following Wilbur's footsteps like she promised she wouldn't do

I'm starting to think that the original inhabitants of the Minecraft world died out due to terminally awful seamanship. I mean, HOW?

Crunching the numbers for a section on fanlore right now and it feels insidious that everyone regards qsmp 2 as a second in a series to the original but only 49% of the cast returned. 37% if you exclude the Koreans and Hugo, who joined after the story became noncanonical.

Compare that to hermitcraft (68% average for earlier seasons and a whopping 96% average for later seasons) or the life series (94% average), it just doesnt seem fair to me to count qsmp and qsmp 2 as part of the same series/same story/same universe in the way those servers are.

Like can you imagine if a little less than 2/3s of a show's cast refused to come back after the first season ended due to poor working conditions of the crew (among other reasons), but the show powered on with the remaining third and the five characters introduced in the last episode of season 1?

the thing about c!bedrock bros that frustrates me the most is i actually really like them. they were two people became friends but had a very rocky relationship because they never quite saw eye to eye but since they both cared about each other, try very hard to overcome that in the worst way, by ignoring it. and in the end, they just could never get past it. they wanted different things, they were in different places in life, it would never work out but they still didn't hold any ill will, despite it all.

and then fandom takes that it flattens it out to making them actual brothers and all these cutesy moments and i think that's fine when you don't treat it like it's canon. we all like to take our favorites and make them cute and sweet but it's very rarely canon, y'know?

them being canon siblings would diminish so much but it's treated like canon so often and i'm like. please give me back my friends that couldn't get past their differences but wanted the best for each other regardless of that because i love it. the what could've been....
