I love Teth so much by the way. They are so fascinating.

I also love the implication that Teth is so very kathool adjacent they can replicate things directly taken from time simulations of kathool. Crack theory is that Teth is just like some part of Kathool that split off from the main. Probably one that got a little too obsessed with the Mechquest hero and now Teth is friend shaped.

I generally get kind of nervous working w/ canon characters for personal reasons, but I've been drawing pretty heavily from Kathool's lore because it's the only eldritch weirdthing that gets much focus in DF. I did kind of latch onto the thing where Uthuluc has special dialogue for Kathool Adepts, as maybe meaning that a lot of these extradimensional tentacle things are pretty closely related, and share a lot of abilities?? that's my excuse anyway. until they release more content abt them. or in 100 years when I manage to grind my way up to whatever that tree is doing in AQW

that said I did give Teth the ability to split off smaller guys by ripping off tentacles so I would not be surprised if they themselves were a splinter of some bigger thing too. much to think about (I am thinking about Teth having annoying family members)

I usually don't do much lore speculation but it's interesting that the vast majority of skeleton monsters are humanoid and the doomcrawler is specifically noted to be difficult to make... this interpretation would work really well for my losers at least
