sr-carefree-woodlandfairy:
âWow, you have a way to punch a hole through every borderline optimistic idea, donât you?â It wasnât intended as an insult, though she was aware that it held the potential to come across as such. But it was more an observation that was accompanied with a laugh and shake of her head. âDoesnât really matter though. I guess weâll see who revealed more of their true personality later on.â She shrugged and sipped her own drink, keeping her eyes on the crowd for the time being.Â
As he mentioned and indicated toward particular partygoers, she tilted her head looking at each one carefully before smiling. âHe also seems to be giving his liver an intense workout.â She added, noting the empty glasses littering the table beside him. âI hope he didnât come with a date. That behaviour might be awkward to explain away later.âÂ
The bullfighter chuckled as he took another sip of his drink. âIâm a realist,â he stated as he looked down at the fairy. âAnd with that comes a pragmatism that some can only wish to have.â While he knew he was being pretentious, he didnât mind. After all, he fully knew heâd be here later than anticipated. The bullfighter shook his head. âI suppose youâre right. Time, after all, is inevitable.âÂ
At her comment, he shrugged. âI suppose the anonymity is half the fun of it. I wouldnât mind if someone Iâd come with enjoyed themselves.â Though he would probably be careful to ensure that no one thought he was serious if he had comported himself in such a manner. âThough you make an excellent point about the liver. I hope thereâs a potion for that.â There was a potion for most everything, but he did not want to be too much more pretentious.Â
