CRIMINAL MINDS â± DESIRED REALITY
âshe looked like a religious icon, like someone youâd sacrifice yourself forâŠâ
â± Rebecca June Ivory, born on October 12, 1981 is the twin of Dr. Spencer Reid, an FBI profiler known for his genius intellect and photographic memory. While Spencer was praised for his brilliance, Rebecca often felt like the âordinaryâ twin, despite her own intelligence and passion. She spent most of her life in London with their father, Vincent Ivory, whose perfectionism created constant tension. He dismissed Rebeccaâs love for ballet and criminology, comparing her to Spencer and making her feel sheâd never measure up. Determined to prove her worth, Rebecca pursued criminology to protect the innocent, while ballet became her outlet for strength and self-expression.
SEPTEMBER 2005 â± Rebecca finally decides to take control of her life as she moved back to the United States and settled in Washington, to follow her dream of joining the FBIâs Behavioural Analysis Unit (BAU). There, she meets Samantha Hargreeves, a profiler with a warm heart and gentle spirit. Samanthaâs kindness quickly makes her Rebeccaâs closest friend, and the two form an unbreakable bond.

I guess opposites attract⊠ⱠRebecca ivory and Aaron Hotchner were complete opposites with Aaronâs stoic, reserved nature clashed with Rebeccaâs warm, empathetic personality. Yet, these differences drew them together. Aaron admired Rebeccaâs deep understanding of people, while she was captivated by his quiet strength and dedication. They became the kind of couple that, though seemingly opposites, fit perfectly together.
