Originally, he was embraced by Toreador because his sire, Rudolph, fell in love with him. However, in both versions, Rudolph is only interested in men, making that scenario impossible. Thankfully, his second sire, Edward, loves everyone, especially those who are smart and beautiful, so Dorianne ended up in the capable hands of Lord Regent.)
