Hello everyone, it's finally time to reveal the pairings for the Mini Bang! We'll reach out to everyone via email to let you know your assigned partner, so make sure to check your inboxes! If you don't receive an email by the end of the day, let us know asap!

✦ As you may already know, due to the final ratio of artists and writers, we decided that we would assign two artist partners per writer. This means that each written work will have two pieces of artwork to go with it. These pieces may be independent from each other and worked on separately, or you may choose to reach out to each other and coordinate your pieces if you wish. As long as the end result is two pieces of art for one piece of writing, collaborations are allowed! Otherwise, everyone is free to work one-on-one with their respective partner/s as per usual.

For any questions or issues regarding pairings or getting in touch with each other, please reach out to us!

Important Update

Hey everyone! Throughout the event, tumblr has been making it difficult for us communicate with participants via DM, especially when it comes to sharing the form links, due to our messages continuously being detected as spam.

Because of this and to avoid getting shadowbanned again, we decided that all private communication will be done via email moving forward. This includes the upcoming pairing announcements, as well as all future check-ins. We will not, however, be sharing anyone's email address as a form of contact, as it will only be used by the mods for event communication.

We'll continue to share event updates publicly on this blog, but Messaging will no longer be available. For any issues or questions, please reach out to us via ask, or feel free to message either of the mods, @mavilez or @aranarumei.

We really appreciate your patience and understanding while we figure out the best way to coordinate this first mini bang!

Hello! Yes, we're thinking of making the list of summaries accessible to everyone once artist claims are out, so writer participants can also see what other writers are working on!

Participants are also allowed to discuss their WIPs privately once claims are finalized :)

Since our blog is restricted we cannot access our inbox at the moment, so we're sneakily answering this in a regular post.

So! The final ratio. About that...

... there may be a bigger difference than we anticipated. We've thought carefully about how it's best to approach this. Since the ratio is nearly 2:1, we are considering assigning two artists to one writer, and have a couple of people create art for two fics to make it even. So it's looking like each written piece will have two pieces of accompanying artwork!

After artist claims, we'll be providing more info about how this will be coordinated. We're delighted by the interest in this event and want to make it as fair as we can for everyone!
