Hello, hello, and early season greetings for everyone. I hope everyoneâs having a good day or evening, wherever you are! This announcement is to deliver a message regarding the roleplayâs rebranding, with a mini revamp underway in a sense that there will be a huge activity check happening this week, as well as adding some exciting subplots. Hope everyoneâs as excited for that as the staff is!
This is to address the fact that while we understand people are busy, we also need to point out that the activity has dipped quite significantly, and we hope that by adding new pages and rebranding the roleplay, weâll be more active, as well as get more members. That being said, those who are on hiatus will be left as they are, but those who arenât will need to post within the week if they still wish to become a part of the roleplay. Otherwise, weâll clear inactives to ensure that we have everyone who still want to be a part of SSU, and is willing to post to support this roleplayâs activity.Â

It highly varies, anon, and I think as itâs come to the end of the year, people get busy so we have less activity than usual. Normally, though, we have around five to ten posts on a day, or even more.

Hello! As I peeked on the connection list just now, I believe that you must mean either Iseul and Naraeâs wanted connections? If thatâs the case, people on top of my head who resemble Jongin would be Kim Jisoo, Seo Inguk, and Seo Kangjoon. While for Naeun, I believe the typist can chip in if they have a face in mind for the older brother, but I would suggest Ahn Jaehyun, Nam Joohyuk, and Park Hyungsik. DYNAMICS SUMMARY: her older brother is 13 years older than her ( so heâs 45 now ) and by now, would already have a kid starting university. since she was in middle/high school by the time her nephew/niece came around, itâs likely that theyâve seen her multiple times until she left new york for south korea, in which they wouldnât have seen her till they started studying in samseong because she hasnât gone back since she left. now mijoo more or less acts like a weird, eccentric aunt towards them who is surprisingly doting from time to time, even if they may not return her affections ( itâs totally possible that they resent her for leaving! ).

Snowfall finds itself coloring the grounds of Samseong University white, still ice-cold with the reminder of the end of the semester. Exams are coming to a close, which means holiday is just around the corner. Before the students can fly off to their destined vacation places, however, the campus brings the students together with an array of different activities, which hopefully will aid students in understanding the nature of Christmas besides celebrations. Students and staff members are grouped together in this, and albeit voluntary, students who participate might obtain a plus in their recommendations for later on after their graduation. Samseongâs Christmas, after all, has always been about spreading love and care to those around the city. The SSU family members are expected to attend one of the following:
DECEMBER 1ST TO DECEMBER 15TH â IN-CAMPUS CHARITY:
The student council is to arrange this charity activities, establishing stalls around the campus area where students and staff can donate anything for those who need it, ranging from instant food to something more financial. Secondhand clothes, useful utilities, homemade items are also accepted, as long as they are possible for donation and last for a while in good use. After the collection, everything will go to both orphanages and nursing homes scattered all across the city. The university itself will also donate an annual amount alongside what the student council has gathered. On December 16th and 17th, the members of student councils will represent the entire campus to donate all the collected goods and money to the destinations.
DECEMBER 8TH TO DECEMBER 9TH â MASS VOLUNTEERS:
Marking the end of the exam period, the university asks for studentsâ cooperation to go in groups for voluntary endeavours towards orphanages, nursing homes, and animal shelters of their groupsâ choices. The activities may vary, from donation to helping them clean, cook, and others. Clubs are also expected to go with their fellow members to offer help in areas they can, donating their skills to those who need it. All clubs are to go with their supervisors, and all student groups must be accompanied by at least one staff member. Students can also go outside this timespan, depending on their availabilities.
DECEMBER 18TH TO DECEMBER 22ND â IN-CAMPUS PERFORMANCES:
Prior to the holiday, many performances from the clubs ( and also non-clubs! ) will be hold in the campusâ open stage, built a week in advance by professionals. The public can come and watch, with the benefits of the tickets gone straight to more orphanages, nursing homes, and animal shelters of studentsâ choices. Clubs and societies which join are to perform creatively with what symbolizes their groups ( for example: animal societies can perform with their animals doing tricks, the band can be the... band... and the student lounge society can sleep on the side ) â or if not, can make up anything that they would like to perform as long as itâs presentable. Other clubs may have a stall to sell some of their creations as well. This performances will be highlighted by some idol groups invited directly by the university and sponsored by some of the biggest donators. Names that have been mentioned include: GFriend, Seventeen, Monsta X, and KARD. There will be more ending acts disclosed closer to the date ( including EXID, Dean, and NCT127 ).
This event will span across the month of December, and you can start threads between now and the end of the year; all threads, as usual, can be continued after, but no starters may be posted after New Year KST. If youâre doing this event on any threads, including texts and SNS, our tag is ssu:christmas17. While itâs not mandatory to join this event, it would be a great tool for you to further your interactions with the other characters. Have fun roleplaying!

heâs not the best student, scraping by with the bare minimum as he always has; the only thing keeping him in school is his passion for music, the fact that he doesnât hate most of his assignments and he gets along well with the music professors. he doesnât play the same kind of music that he used to, in fact he doesnât touch his guitar much at all ; he does not disclose anything about his past, so to the naked eye heâs just the tired but creative music student who wants to write songs for other people.
he may come across as fairly lazy, due to his laid-back approach when it comes to academics but he always manages to get the important things done. when heâs not in class heâs normally behind the counter of a small convenience store, doodling and scribbling lyrics here and there on a small notepad he keeps beside the cash register.
shinji is also a member of the paranormal club. heâs always been superstitious, and despite his lack of ambition shinjiâs always been the curious type â stories of ghosts, demons and other supernatural stuff fascinate him. though he doesnât always show up on time, he tries to make it to every meeting, though most of the time he sits in the back and listens rather than contributing to any discussions.

though heâs still fairly young, shinji has lived a more exciting life than most already â ever since moving to tokyo from his village-like hometown at fourteen, with his estranged and restless father, life hasnât slowed down much for him.
high school was a blur. while working in the evening as a server at his fatherâs new restaurant, he attended the classes that were mandatory, but he passed them with the bare minimum; he didnât study much because he just didn't care that much. his father wasnât much of an academic either, and though he wanted to see shinji succeed, he never put too much pressure on him much more than âjust donât drop out.â shinjiâs friends envied him for his slack, unusual upbringing but shinji often found himself wishing that his father cared as much about his future as his friendsâ parents did.
by the time shinji was sixteen, he had made quite a few new friends at his school. they were, as shinjiâs mother would have said, a âbad crowdâ because their nature was to be contradictory, different ; and most of them were known troublemakers. though shinji wasnât quite on the same level as them, it didnât take much of a push for him to slip into, what heâd refer to as a ârebellious phaseâ â his grades slipped significantly as he focused more and more on these friends, who encouraged him to not only refuse to work his job at his dadâs restaurant, but to join in their underground ârock bandâ, BB. his father, though disappointed, didnât do much to stop this whole phase from playing out and, when shinji looks back on it later, he really does appreciate that his father still supported him even when he was being troublesome and difficult.
though he was mainly talentless at first, in being part of the band shinji picked up on guitar skills and actually got pretty good. his love of music, something that had existed before but he never really had much of a chance to tap into, came into play in a big way â he fell in love with performing, and took every opportunity he could to help compose their songs as well ( when they werenât just performing cover songs. ) for the rest of high school, BB remained his biggest priority, shinji nearly dropping out several times along with his close friends. miraculously, he didnât flunk or choose to leave school, perhaps because his fatherâs wish for him to at least be mediocre  stuck with him.
he didnât attend university right away, though. he spent a year running around with his friends and trying to make it big with his band, and though they had a couple popular videos on youtube in 2014, they never really gained the popularity or the funding that they dreamed of. in the summer of 2014, a bad fight between the members broke them up â and shinji, dejected and angry, decided to go the completely dramatic route and move away. thankfully, his father, hoping that this weird phase was finally over, and his son wanted to actually go somewhere, helped him get his papers together in time to apply for the next semester at samseong university, a top-notch school in seoul with a well-known program related to musical composition and, somehow, shinjiâs grades were just barely enough to scrape by the minimum requirements. after receiving his acceptance letter, he took off â leaving everything but his guitar back in japan.
