So, I got building this earlier today. Looked ready for the finish, and granite top. My boss and I were looking at it, then he realized I built it too short... By 6". I read the wrong measurement from the plans... So, my new rule. "Read thrice, measure twice, cut once." #woodworking #woodwork #cherrytable

Started the dovetails for the bottom runners/legs for my sister and her husbands changing table the other night. Trying to take my time and do it right, but also hurry at the same time. Hard line to walk.

A small glue-up floating shelf I did for over my wife and I's bed. Nice and simple.

Almost completely done with the workbench area. Now, the real building can begin!

So that inspiration I had earlier helped me get this done today. I’m setting up my first shop for my self, and built a new workbench for it. It’s small, but will do just fine. Can’t wait to get everything set up!

Inspiration

This quote has hit me hard the last week or so. I have had all these grand ideas of how to start this business, and what I "needed" to do it. This was, as I now see it, the wrong thing to think about. For it required a big financial risk, that was unnecessary.

So, I am going to take these words from the Bull Moose himself, and start now. Hopefully, with a lot of hard work, and a little luck, I will be able to be doing this full time soon!
