I try to get a grip

But my hand slips,

And I fell off the edge of the world

Sometimes...

The pieces crumble to the floor and I don't mind it so much. The individual parts seem so much more interesting than the whole. So I lay there, in a heap. Waiting for that moment that should revive me, but it never comes. So here I am. On the ground. In tiny little decaying bits, blowing in the wind.

Somedays I feel like I'm walking a strange line. Where I want friends. Want them more than anything. To drop in. To shoot me a text, to wish me a happy birthday and even surprise me with a party. And other days, I want to be left alone. All alone, in the dark. Without any interest in what I have to do or say. It feels like a bond, and then it feels like codependency. I want to be within, and without.
