Spring had sprung, and now the summer heat was just starting to settle in. It felt like life had just started again for Kennedy. She loved the snow, and loved the Winter, but if she was being honest it was definitely her least favorite season. In her heart of hearts she was a Summer girly through and through.

Kennedy could feel the creative juices just starting to kick in, and the need to have some sort of way to let it all out. So, she sets up shop in the Theta kitchen.

A few hours later, and a new video to edit that night, she’s produced three different batches of iced sugar cookies, each one themed to match either Alpha, Theta or Gamma house. She starts to load them up, leaving Theta’s on the kitchen table with a cute little note attached. The other two she sets up nicely in baskets, before heading out to each respective house.

Watching Kennedy start to giggle outright loosened Angela up more, starting to smile more from her laughter the longer it went on and even accepting the pipping bag again. "Can we please?!" She asked with her voice and volume pitching up, eyes wide with excitement. "I can think of a few people that deserve dick cookies.."

However, her excitement lasts only a moment, feeling the shakiness beneath her own hands. She pulls back ever so slightly, giving Angela a little more space, but absentmindedly still holding onto her hands. Her hands are so soft. The thought flashes in her mind faster than she can realize, and then it’s gone. “You okay?” she asks, her own voice coming out stranger than normal.

Somehow the absence of Kennedy’s body against Angela’s was more apparent as she moved away from her, but thankfully her hands on hers still were able to ground her to reality again. She needed to get ahold of herself, a bashful smile rising on her lips as she glanced back to Kennedy. “Yeah! Just… worried about messing these up..” she chuckled nervously, giving a small squeeze to her hands.

“That’s okay!” She says, her voice returning back to normal slowly, a smile on her lips from the squeeze. It was comforting, warm, inviting. “We can always scrape the icing off and start fresh.” And then she did just that, letting Ange go… and realizing she almost instantly missed the closeness. She shook that thought off, grabbing the first attempt cookie and a flat spatula, and then with ease clearing off the icing. “Ta da!”

As Ken let her hands go and went to the cookies, she had also missed the comfort of her hold. Taking a deep breath to center herself, she returned back to her side to watch her scrape her work off. She tried not to pout, still appreciating how patient the other girl was being with her. “I feel like I’m gonna be more detrimental than helpful..” she tried to chuckle.

Just as she hit the stairs, she got whiff of something sweet in the air. If she was a cartoon, she would've floated over into the kitchen to find Kennedy in the process of baking. "That smells so good.." it wasn't even finished yet and she was drooling.

When Angela enters the kitchen, Kennedy is doomscrolling on tiktok, completely engrossed and unaware of her surroundings. She jumps a little when she hears her friends voice, looking up all wide eyed. “They’re for you actually!” she pauses for just a second, before quickly adding “well, not just for you. For Theta! And I made some for the other houses too! “ Another pause, quickly followed up with: “Not that I wouldn’t just bake you cookies. I’ll bake you anything you want! I could bake you a cake! Or some tarts?” And then she forces herself to stop talking because she feels like she sounds like a lunatic rambling away like this.

As Kennedy rambled on, Angela's eyes still stop looking around the kitchen, seeing all the work that Ken put into her baking just to give it to the other houses as a gift. How sweet! "Aww.." she hummed, giving a playful little twirls of her hair as her eyes landed back on Ken. "You'd bake a whole other thing for lil ol me?" she asked her with a chuckle. "That's so nice!!"

“Of course! I’d do anything for you!” Some of the cookies are already baked off, and ready for decorating. Kennedy looks over to them, then to Angela, a grin lighting up her face. “If you help me decorate some of them, you can eat as many of them as you want?” Truthfully, it’s just an excuse to hangout with her- but it seems like a fair enough trade off!

The statement genuinely warmed Angela's heart, even if Kennedy was only just saying it in passing. Her whole face turns into a warmer smile, nodding now more excitedly than before. "Sure!! I'd love to help you out!!" she grinned, turning towards the table now as hesitation only then hit her as she looked at the supplies. "Just... don't be upset if they don't look the prettiest.."

“Hey! I’ve seen you paint, you’re not giving yourself near enough credit. Besides, I can always help you with technique.” She grins, coming beside Angela, and grabbing a cookie. She starts to decorate it in the Theta colors, doing little swirls on them, giving it a starry nights sort of vibe.

“You wouldn’t mind?” Angela asked gently, voice getting quieter as Kennedy came over and started to decorate in front of her. She held her breath, as if breathing too heavily or loudly would disturb the other girl’s progress somehow. “Thats so pretty… okay please show me how you do that please!”

Kennedy grinned ear to ear, happy to be the teacher in this scenario. First, she hands Angela the pipping bag, grabbing a cookie once she takes it. “Okay so… you gotta hold it kinda like..” she tries to show her at first, but quickly realizes it’s easier to prompt her than just show her. Her hand moves ontop of Angela’s guiding it so that she was holding the bag in a way that the icing wouldn’t just come out in a rush, but would instead give her more control. “Like this!”

Angela smiled, excitement clear in her eyes as Kennedy trusts her with the pipping bag. She was watching only the other's hands at first, ready to try and emulate what she showed, however she was caught off guard as Kennedy's hand was over hers. "Ooh.." she said quietly, her stomach doing flips and trying not to overthink what was happening. She was watching her hand now, but the information was hitting a wall with Kennedy's hand in view holding hers. "Okay... that makes sense..."

As she guides her hands, Kennedy kind of just stops thinking all together until she’s fully invading Angela’s space. Her head comes to rest over Angela’s shoulder so she can better see what’s happening while still trying to guide her. “Okay… now you try!” she says, unaware of how close she had gotten to her, her tunnel vision fully locked into the task at hand.

Unfortunately, Angela stops thinking all together too. All her focus was on how warm Kennedy felt against her. Or, with how close she was to her, how her shampoo smelled so nice. Or how her hands were so soft holdings hers. However, if she fully computed just how close Ken was to her face, she probably would've instantly shut down from shock. That's why when she was finally called upon to give it a try, she froze up instead, brain too fuzzy admiring her for too long. "Uuh..." she just had to fake it till she made it, literally. So, with shakey hands, she tried to mimic what she was just taught, but it was clear in her strokes just how little she was paying attention. "Umm... I think I blanked there... sorry."

She steps just a half step closer to her, leaving Angela almost pinned against the table by her own body pressed against her back. “Ok… wanna try again?”

Kennedy looks over to them, then to Angela, a grin lighting up her face. “If you help me decorate some of them, you can eat as many of them as you want?” Truthfully, it’s just an excuse to hangout with her- but it seems like a fair enough trade off!

Despite herself, she still answered Ted's question with a yes, before laughing at how quick he was to pull out the scenario before she could even finish answering. "Like...." He has a feeling what he was about to say was pretty taboo, or at least presumptuous itself, but the curiosity and the caffeinated liquor was winning the conversation over. "Is it like when a guy brings condoms to a date? Like it looks like you're expecting something?" He asks with his eyes narrowed curiously, but also like some shield from her judgment if he couldn't clearly see her expression.

Angela's eyes squinted at him more, almost not being able to see him now, but it was all still playful even as she answered. "No..." she started with a shake to her head. I'm showing I'm Wuh-Luh-Wuh too? Like, it's more a sign that I also swing that way? Like it's a smoke signal to other women that like women.." she started to squint at herself then, hearing her words and almost cringing. Ted's eyes norrow even more when hers do. "I don't entirely belive you," he remarks, sitting back up after realising he had been hunched over to her eye level. "but being fair I don't know enough about it debate." He shugs and chuckles a bit at her self questioning. "Is swing that way an out of style saying?"

Angela hadn’t realized just how close Ted was until he was already moving away from her, expression staying but her heart racing for only a moment. She scoffs a little, smiling as she leans over to pet Spork, hoping that would center her buzzed thoughts in place. “It just sounded weird coming from me, I don’t know..” she shrugged.

"You're always a little weird sounding though." He says meaning it sweetly. Smiling at the thought of Angela's speech quirks and silly little sayings that he noted and enjoyed. "Interesting though... so like... do you only swing that way?"

Her words start to jam up i his ears. The smooth string of speech kinking and jamming up when the ideas get to be too much for him to think about. A few things are able to drip in and form disjointed little ideas that liked jumping to conclusions. "What fanfic have you been reading?" He questions her, face pink up his ears and down his neck. "Cause like, everyone says I'm bi but I'm not." He defends himself from an argument that didn't exist.

There was a beat then, things clicking into place in Angela’s head as she realized how her words could be construed then. “Oh! Wait!! I don’t mean that I read fanfiction of you! Not that I don’t read stories about my friends but like I haven’t..” she was definitely digging some sort of hole here that she created all by herself. “It’s fine! I haven’t read anything like that about you anyway!”

Ted feels stupid for expecting that of her, laughing nervously and rubbing the back of his neck. "Hey, no judgment. You're allowed to get your kicks... with any other fan fiction." He adds the last bit with a quieter chuckle, even more embarrassed that she didn't read a fictional of him being railed for some reason. Maybe cause he brought it up himself. "You're full of surprises, ange."

Angela felt warm all over her body, cheeks lightly flushed still as she watched Ted from afar. She would love to blame it on the alcohol, but it was definitely just the embarrassment heating her up all over. "Right, that's me... Good ol' Ange! Full of surprises and always keep you on your toes.." she tried to laugh off, but shutting herself up with her drink before she said anything else that was just as stupid or embarrassing.

Ted snorts in laughter and moves over to her, reaching over to where Spork was set up and petting his little shakey head. "We all got our things." He shrugs and looks her face over. "I watch thrist trap edits sometimes."

Angela looked back down at the pup, wandering if he should put him in his harness again but figuring he could still use the time out and smiling about it. However, the topic shifting brought her attention back to Ted. “Oh really?” She asked curiously, leaning in now. “Have you watched your own? .. Have you watched any of mine?” She wiggled her eyebrows before realize how weird that might be to ask.

"I've seen some of my own..." He admits sheepishly, genuinely not understanding who crafts these things, how he ended up the muse. "You have thrist traps?" He asks with a chuckle. "I didn't know smosh was the thrist trap type of crowd."

Angela then looked almost offended at him, brows scrunching up and then peering past him to Spork like “can you believe this guy?” As she shook her head. “Of course there’s smosh thirst traps! Have you seen the fandom?” She started to smirk to herself then, tilting her head. “There’s no way you haven’t seen at least one of mine..”

Ted blinks at her, looking between her and the nervous little dog. "I didn't- I don't mean that you aren't-" He starts to explain, but he was sure any words that he attempted to string together would be incriminating either way. "Can I see them?"

There was no winning this for Ted, and Angela loved that. The smirk on her face grew wider then, before she erupted into giggles and slowly shook her head. "What?!" she laughed with a small snort, but dug into her back pocket anyway, fishing her phone out. "Alright, sure. Since you love thirst traps so much..." she took a sharp inhale of air through her nose to calm down, breathing out through her mouth as she found one of her favorite ones, handing him the phone.

Ted purses his lips, blinking at her, until he sees her reach for her phone. Then he scoots in and leans on the counter next to her, taking the phone when it's offered to him. He spends the whole first play through thinking about the nail conversation, but by the time it repeated he understood, letting out an energetic "oh!" then watching it again, and ine more time to really make sure he saw the whole thing while he wasn't thinking about the comment. "Short nails... yeah."

Angela stayed leaned next to Ted, watching his face for any reaction through the first watch. When he didn’t react at first, her brows stitched together confused, but when it clicked, embarrassed giggles slipped out. But when he kept watching it several more times, she started to feel more bashful about it, cheeks creeping with a blush. She was about to take the phone from him when he finally said something. “Yeah, it gets brought up a lot..” she laughed nervously, reaching back for the phone.
