Robots // Bucky & Tony
jamesbuckybear:
Bucky really did try not to laugh, but as soon as the kid locked eyes with him, he lost it. He reminded him so much of Steve. “I’m not laughing at you, I swear. You just remind me of someone.” He said when he was finally calmed down.
Having the kid rifle through his arm was uncomfortable, but at least he was a willing participant this time instead of strapped down to a table. He focused on Tony’s interactions with U, trying to keep his mind off of it. “Very human for a robot.” He was very robot for a human sometimes, so maybe U and him would get along.
Bucky shrugged. “I don’t know. I might not have any qualifications, but I got in here pretty easily. Picking locks ain’t hard.” He said, smug. It only lasted a minute cause he winced as Tony pulled out a wire. It made him wondered if he did it on purpose.
“Bucky Barnes.” He answered. If he was going to have a stupid nickname, it might as well be his stupid nickname. It took him a moment to realize the consequences of what he said. He hope the kid won’t put two and two together but he was smart so he probably would. He would just have to play it cool.
“You are totally laughing at me,” Tony accused, though it lacked heat. Honestly, he couldn’t blame him for laughing; the size difference alone was staggering and the only chance Tony had of taking him down would be if he drugged him first and then dumped him in a ditch or something.
Which... huh, not too bad of an idea.
Through his mauling, he’d managed to stop the sparking at least and though he wasn’t sure yet what he was dealing with, clearly he was on the right track. He looked up briefly at the wince. Or maybe not. “Sorry,” he mumbled, noting that area as a point of contention. “But seriously, if you want access into here in a proper way, you need to right qualifications, you know the shit in here aren’t toys right and breaking and entering is a big no-no?”
Pausing what he was doing at the name drop he frowned and pulled away so he was sitting up. “Bucky Barnes?” he deadpanned, narrowing his eyes. It wasn’t too big of a leap, not when he’d met The Captain America the day before. “Parent’s just fans of the comic or do we have another dude from ninety dot running around here?”
