I am entirely incapable of understanding how someone can actually read the book Lolita and not see Humbert as a total creep. I say this without a shred of exaggeration. I literally cannot fathom how someone can read even a single section of this book and not know the man is a monster. If someone knows literally ANYTHING about Lolita outside of the handful of flowery cutesy quotes and still thinks it’s a romance there is something wrong.

They are not a thing. Young girls are just kids. Not some angel fae or whatever that attracts older people. Please don't call yourself that. And older people are NOT a dating pool for you. It's not a compliment. If anyone older is hitting on you or making advances of any kind, it's not okay. Please tell someone that you trust what's going on. That older person does not have your best interests at heart. They're a creep and need to be dealt with to ensure that you're safe. Nymphets aren't a real thing. The word was reclaimed for fashion purposes, and even then I think a different word would've been more suitable, but there's nothing I can do about that. Cute fashion does not equal a real identity. Please don't let the use of that word fool you into thinking that it's somehow a real thing. Stay safe.
