About Me —

Hi Everyone! You can call me Rose (she/her). I'm a 27 year old aspiring writer who likes using sims as a creative outlet and fun thing to do. I hop around and love making stand-alone edits, sims storytelling, lookbooks, basically everything but building because I'm not good at it lol. (maybe someday tho!)

Outside of the Sims 4 and writing I love to read (especially the classics but I also love Brandon Sanderson and anything historical, fantasy, or sapphic), acting in Shakespeare productions, and playing with my cat.

Really sad to see. They worked for years to get their game off the ground. Gave us a great starting point and there's already paid early access mods. 😔

Since when was making mods a form of compensatory outlet? Mods were well known to be a hobby. A passionate art form fanbase’s would create to evolve and expand their favorite games and share that amongst their fellow community. NEVER has mods been monetized in any gaming community before the Sims 4.

“If you can’t afford to do this for free, you shouldn’t be doing this at all” is an acceptable refute to your greed. No one is forcing you to make mods and in no way are we obligated to compensate you for your efforts. If your sole purpose to join a community is to make a profit out of it, then you are a narcissist and are not welcomed. Plain and simple.

What pisses me off the most about there being early access content for paralives is the fact that it’s an INDIE GAME. it’s not a multi million dollar company like EA. It’s an early access indie game and some of you are so fucking greedy for cash that you wanna profit off of it? We already have to deal with this shit in the sims like the community is fucking infested with it and now you wanna do this to paralives when they literally told us that we’d always be getting updates for free???? From Right to Left:

Lady Audra Goth - Daughter of Lady Charity Goth and mother to Lady Desdemona Goth. Her paramour is the Grim Reaper and she's the reincarnation of Charity's mother Delphine. Recently suffering the losses of her cousin Bernadette, her sister Claire, and her son Mortimer.

Lady Desdemona Goth - Teenager of Lady Audra, aspiring pianist :)) Desdemona mourns the loss of her brother and hates her dad. It's hard to have a good relationship with death himself he's kind of an absentee parent

The Right Honorable Lady Charity Goth, Countess of Windenburg - Head of the Thornfeld Dynasty and mother to Audra. She usurped Hazel Poplopovich as dynasty head after the death of Hazel's mother. She believes she was acting for the best interests of everybody but her usurpation has begun a unity crisis in the family.

Hazel Poplopovich - The orphaned daughter of famed composer and visionary Bernadette Poplopovich. She lost both her mother and best friend Mortimer within a short span of time and is a quiet, sad, artistic child. She wants to try to find her father.

Do y'all think it's 'okay' to do a lookbook without using SRWE?

I'm frankly so tired of using it, it absolutely kills my laptop every single time and I wanna just start posting again and not worry about it but I know that means my screenies for lookbooks will be of lesser quality, bleh

But I feel like I'd actually post so much more if I didn't worry about using it as well??? (To be fair I haven't used it in a while but I always think about it lmao)

yes. hell yes. we've got to do away with this notion of pictures needing to look perfect or on-par with everyone else's. i've been playing a ton lately and posting none of it because needing to wrangle reshade and set up shots and blahblahblah has just taken all the fun out of that.

these are the last pictures i took. my game's graphics settings are at medium, reshade is super minimal (just a colour adjuster), they're not **mOoDy** or atmospheric pictures, but I know I was actually having fun playing that day. and the pictures took seconds to take. SECONDS!

I know lots of people use this game just for digital photography or whatever, and that's fine. but it'd be great if we didn't put such pressure on ourselves to make our screencaps or gameplay or lookbooks be absolutely mint.

and with a lookbook especially.... hopefully people are looking at it for the fits as opposed to the "quality" of the pictures.

I'm not a fan how performative simblr often is and how people are so worried if their pictures aren't super hq and edited to the point it's hard to tell they're actually from a sims game™️. As a Typical Consumer of the simblr feed, i can say i don't often zoom in pictures to see details and i mainly scroll tumblr on mobile so the size and quality don't need to be mind-blowing! As a fellow creator i sometimes worry if my pics are 'good enough' as well, but we just have to remember that people don't follow us for the quality of the image rather than the content of it🥰

I gotta be so fr Ive never seen the difference between SWRE and non-SWRE pictures anyway. I've got SWRE downloaded, I honestly find it annoying to use though and like the pictures I take just fine without it. I love editing pictures but that isn't everyone and people really shouldn't feel pressured to make all these high effort posts if all they want to do is share their sims!!!!!

Share your sims!!!!! You don't need reshade or gimp or photoshop or procreate or canva or SWRE to share your sims!!!!!!!!!
