This with the coupling of white people only engaging with media where they feel themselves represented + not viewing Black or visibly ethnic POC as relatable solely off their race/seeing white as the default + incorrectly assuming all Black people are cishet when (speaking from the experience of a black American) we have had a significant queer and trans populace in this country for decades possibly centuries with a rich culture and history. Whether intentional or not this furthers the alienation of Black and Brown lgbts and shows us you don't view us with fellowship in mind and treat us as uncommon outliers.
