During a high speed car chase pursuit, the FOX 11 Los Angeles helicopter had an unexpected moment when they spotted a rooster and a chicken casually walking down the sidewalk right in the middle of the pursuit.
I feel like zombie settings could do more to make slow zombies scarier in quiet, creeping ways. Zombies facing away from people. Walking backwards. Only moving if they're not seen. Holding a survivor but not hurting them. Motionless but their eyes follow you. Soundless horde.
If zombies are a representation of the breakdown of society, the traditional zombie is a more noticeable, violent, immediate collapse of society.
The slow, quiet, still zombie is more about the societal collapse we don't see until it's too late, one that doesn't happen suddenly and drastically but one that happens without a fuss. The violence doesn't become the focus of the tension, the violence is the release of it.
Zombies sitting at tables, doing nothing for days, just staring silently while you search for food.
Zombies walking endlessly through the same trails they did in real life.
Zombies sitting at the bus stop, waiting for the bus to move. It never will.
Zombies that are not mindless drones, they're beings whose sanity is lingering in darkened secluded places of their self, ready to burst forth in unsuspected ways.
Humane in absolute cryptid ways and inhumane in the most human way possible.
part of this is that they are trying to get people to screenshot or respond to the more vile shit they're saying so they can report us for that content so staff can play that whole game where a victims blog gets termed because "well obviously that vile content cant be on the site" when you're clearly documenting someone elses behavior
It looks like the idea here is to implicate trans women in all of this by spamming some messages that are at best trans themed (and very obviously sound like how a terf acts like trans women talk) which might have worked better if they didnt constantly attack trans women with it
I like when Remus sanders looks kinda monstrous (sharp teeth, weird-ass eyes, able to bend in ways humans canโt) but I like it even more if heโs done it to himself. Like, heโs sharpened his teeth using a nail file, heโs stabbed himself in the eyes so much that they just randomly leak blood now, he bends like that because he purpertually breaks his bones for fun and splints them so they heal horribly wrong. He makes himself monstrous.

Alright, all this said and done..........
The liveblogs end there. Or at least, the clear, post-able liveblogs. We did discuss more post-finale but I ended up sending several five-minute long rambling voice memos to discuss, and I obviously cannot post them here.
But here are my final thoughts:
Good.
Although I have some questions and also some qualms about how the exposition was handled and how some mystery elements of the show were kinda buried in the end for the emotional payoff (what IS 57? Why a circus? How did they all end up getting brain scanned at such different times IRL - how was the equipment still being upkept, etc?) I do think, ultimately, that the emotional aspect of this was the more important narrative in the story and it was definitely PAID OFF.
Have I changed my mind about Jax?
Haha, no. Still hate that little piece of shit.*
BUT I do think that Jax, as a character, went above and beyond my expectations. Just.... 11/10 character in and of itself. Her story was interesting and compelling, and it WAS told very effectively. I absolutely loathe the way Jax handled himself throughout the whole show, and the vicious bullying and cruelty he made a point of.........BUT. I think OVERALL, she is a fascinating person and a very REAL one. Her entire story, when read together, makes a whole lot of sense. You can stitch together all the horrible domino effect things that came together to make that train wreck happen, and BOY GURL DID IT HAPPEN.
It's a very neat balance of going "wow, this person is an absolute SHITHOLE" while also creating a sympathetic reasoning behind why they make the mistakes they do. I personally think it's very well done.
ANYWAY thanks for reading! I would love to make fanart, but I think if I had one MORE responsibility I would literally crash out like Caine did, so I will not be doing that. Sorry.
