Quint Quarry vs. Woodrow Burns?

The idea of Quint getting into the thrill of hunting people has been coming upon me and I blame the short story "The Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell, as it's returned to my head after more than a year away. What if the person who he decided to hunt in his island is one who's a traveler? That's where Woodrow would come in as his unfortunate victim. Am I the only one who thought of these two interacting?

I've talked about Charlie getting therapy for a bit now. It's time to introduce you to his therapist.

The man to the left of both pictures is Dr. Hiroshi Sato, Griffin Rock's only therapist. Before he became a therapist, Sato had to figure his way through life as a Japanese-American, and he made it to where he could be a therapist.

When he became a therapist, his first client was the newly-made police chief, Charlie Burns. Sato knew he had huge responsibility being a town's only therapist from the start, and the chief was no execption.

Slowly, but surely, with appointments three times a week, Dr. Sato was able to help Charlie gain more mental strength than when Adam was training him. His treatment consisted of both psychotherapy and medication.

As Charlie and Dr. Sato grew older, it was seen that the chief really got back on his feet and was more relaxed than with Adam. When Dawn died, it was Dr. Sato that helped Charlie navigate through that loss, and things progressed from there.

Now, Charlie only attends therapy once every few months and only takes his medication after a PTSD episode, which is rare within itself due to his support system.

Woodrow knows that it was Dawn and Ezra that brought Charlie to therapy, but it was Dr. Sato who gave the treatment, so the therapist recieves a small gift from the traveler every month. Dr. Sato is encouraged to keep going with both the gifts and the appreciation from all of Griffin Rock's population, especially Chief Charlie Burns.

500 Miles by Peter, Paul, and Mary fits Woodrow Burns, specifically when he just left Griffin Rock away from his father and was forced to leave Charlie behind.

TW: Mentions of parental homophobia and attempted conversion therapy

Adam found out that Woodrow was gay when he came out to Charlie, which made the father furious. When Adam confronted Woody, they had a yelling match which ended with Adam telling Woodrow that he'll send him to a conversion therapy camp where his "sinful" behavior could be corrected.

Woodrow had enough of his father tormenting him for who he was, and the threat of being sent to conversion therapy was the last straw for the 18 year old. With that, he started packing.

After he finished up, he wrote a runaway note to Charlie, telling him that he wasn't sure where his destination was and warning him that if he didn't break free from their father's control, he'll fall into a world of hurt.

With that, he left the note in Charlie's room and left the house, never to return.

Charlie couldn't finish the note without crying. The fact that his baby brother had decided to run away was upsetting to him and he never forgot Woodrow. The first time they see each other again is during Adam's funeral, where Charlie had already completed his fixed path as a police chief.

Woody is eternally grateful for Dawn and Ezra for helping Charlie's mentality recover from the damage that Adam had done, and it's shown when he sends souvenirs to Ezra and flowers to Dawn's grave.

Mostly between him and Professor Baranova, but I'm not sure what episode that is or if it's the first one. I think it's the episode where his helper bot goes around screaming "TOAST? TOAST?" for the first two minutes of the show.

I found that Ezra's name was mentioned in the last episode of Season 3 when he proposed to Baranova. Idk if it was mentioned earlier, but that's good enough for me
